I think The girl is one of the little sisters. so we are going with the good ending. She goes back to rapture to see what she is seeing in her dreams. She represents the butterfly, she is the pretty little thing inside all that disgusting thing called rapture (look at the new rapture logo). And the buildings of sand, are just her dreams. I'm thinking of a scene were she is gonna be killed or something, and suddenly a big daddy appears to protect you. Pretty obvious but cool to see.

Ha! Even a joke in the comments! I'm surprised with this trailer! And why did it only show up in the PS3 store? Could it be that it's a PS3 excusive? (Better not be!) Good article GR!

Ha! Even a joke in the comments! My guess, you will take the role of the villian, and it will be a prequel. Good article GR!

I think its a prequel and that is the little sisters mother looking out to the ocean thinking of a city under water and is creating it in the sand as she sees it. Sea of dream might be referring to her dream of what rapture will be. It wasn't supposed to all go to hell like it did. Or im just completely wrong and have know idea what im talking about cause i never beat the first one. Kinda boring.

I think the title is referring to a long lost sister city to rapture as rapture was atlas's dream so a sea of dreams with dream in the plural could mean more cities

since you started playing Dead Space, everything takes place in SPACE. could be tho, like a Dark City vibe.

Hey, wern't there 2 trailers to this? What I saw was a Big Daddy creating hell for some Splicers as they try to kill a Little Sister harvesting Adam from some dead body and this creature called The Big Sister (which is basicly a really thin Big Daddy with a harpoon) who can make stuff float and impales that Big Daddy with her harpoon.

I think there is no rapture and everything was the dream of a demented abused little girl. Oh wait (looks at news about Bioshock 2), nevermind, scratch that...

She's not the protagonist, she becomes the Big Sister. You play as the first Big Daddy, who miracuously survived the first game.

Alright...here is my guess from looking at the teaser trailer and reading the lyrics of the song used in the trailer. I think that the girl was a little sister, but was saved and taken back to normal society, however, she never forgot of Rapture. She remembered the Big Daddy's protecting her and remembered the Little Sisters. She begins to feel lonely, so she goes back down to Rapture, trying to return Rapture with Little Sisters and keep the balance going. From reading the original website for the game, I believe she becomes the Big Sister who is kidnapping regular girls and turning them into Little Sisters to feel the gap of loneliness. Now...as for reading into the trailer and what exactly the girl is doing. She's thinking or dreaming of Rapture, that much is obvious. The first line of the lyrics are Dream When you're feelin' blue, therefore, she is upset from being taken from Rapture and so she dreams or thinks of Rapture. She has the telekinesis ability, which I read in gameinformer so she is building the city of sand, and you could have also of guessed this from her awkward twitching of her head. Another line of lyrics...You'll find your share of memories there So dream When the day is through, so this is a sunset, not a sunrise. The day is through, she is thinking of rapture. Last line Dream And they might come true Things never are as bad as they seem, so she is dreaming of having Rapture back to it's Big Daddy and Little Sister ways, and she wants this so badly, that they'll come true. And for your info, you play as a Big Daddy in the game, I think that this girl is a Big Sister. Which were just introduced to the newly made Bioshock 2.

im just spit-balling here cuz i've only heard of this a two months ago but didn't believe it until two days ago. i have read a few other sites yesterday and peiced them together to come up with my conclusion. (i don't care if you think this is copy-write or whatever) i know that the big daddy toy is the replica of the first proto-type big daddy ever made (you get to play as him in the second game) and that the girl has telekinesis powers from when she was in Rapture. the two must have met each other and something happened between the two, like the proto-type Mr. Bubbles saving her but then they were separated and she can barely remember him. the ten years pass and her powers start to emerge as she begins to remember Rapture the way she knew it and she wants to reshape and repair it into the best city in the world, just like Andrew Ryan wanted to do (i think). she returns to Rapture and becomes the "Big Sister" that takes, possibly, the duaghters of the origional little sisters and use them to replace the missing ones from ten years ago. The Big sister rules Rapture, but not for glory or greed, yet she is savage and merciless to any that dont follow her rules. As the first big daddy that is not just all brawns like the other models, you start to realise where this city is going to end and you want to stop the misguided big sister before she brings the distruction of the entire world. but i think that the blue butterfly crawling out of the barnicle means hope from unexpected places.

this is my conclusion, the game starts up,a the girl is being stalked by a splicer, the splicer says " am gunna splice you up little one" she screams "noo plese nooo". a big daddy comes crashing though a wall, devouers the splicer. the mr b picks up the girl they set of walking down a raod, and there is a load of splicers behind them. the screen then goese black and silen, then you here a scream."it was just a draem" the girl says, and look to the right and sees the big daddy doll.then the game starts and she gose looking for rapture and her past thanks for reading - this is just my thoughts :)
  • rybell - January 24, 2009 12:42 a.m.

the game has to be in rapture or a place like it because one of the biggest parts of the first game was the art style and claustraphobia
  • Tidus53 - January 20, 2009 3:16 a.m.

Okay, maybe Rapture does resurface(obviously)and maybe there are still splicers on board. Which means that maybe the splicers try to get on land and kill the people on land. Or the corporation, or whoever built it, try to re-build it and end up using it as a research facility for ADAM. Except its like the usual evil test facilities, you know, people being tortured, bodies lying around, psychopaths, evil orderlys, maybe even salvaged Big Daddy armor which people try to use as weapons. And the Girl IS a Little Sister who learns whats happening and either she , or the obvious love interest or a "guinea pig" at the facility, try to stop whats happening down there and tear Rapture down once and for all.
  • agh717 - December 24, 2008 1:36 a.m.

I think that the Atlantic coast means that Rapture will be raised from the bottom to the top of the sea. the way this happens is that the main character reactivates the rapture self-destruct thing, but since no one really knew what happened, probably not even ryan since he probably didnt try it out, the floor bottom breaks up over time and eventually sends the entire city upwards because of the coral (that i am assuming) it is built upon. That is why the coral incrusts the bioshock 2 sign and is not continuously dripping with water. this happens after the main character dies, and one depressed grown up little-sister went to the atlantic sea with a big-daddie doll, and happens to see the once sunken city as it progressively rises out of the atlantic.
