they will value a home console higher; so $300 sounds about right. I'm sure Nintendo will price the system this way, because they can always lower the price. http://goo.gl/nCNzN

Considering that Nintendo is intending this console to take them into the next generation and possibly through it, it's going to go for the big price out the gate. So I think it's going to be 299. 399 seems a bit much when compared to what we're getting and what is already available to us.

Well, Nintendo DID say 3DS's Release date at New York, and same goes for Wii, its for sure a release date and price. $299 for sure or around $350, Nintendo wouldnt want to have to resort to lowering what they originally had with the 3DS and the Tablet itself is also of cost so you have to put that in Mind.

Better be a Circle Pad Pro XL!

I'd suspect they'll announce a $299 price tag, otherwise they don't have as good a chance at competing with the other two current gen systems. Most people aren't going to pay much more than the cost of a 360 or PS3 for something that's on roughly the same technical level.

For the Record, Economy sucks nowadays that high prices would be suicide, even for the PS4 and 720 to be more than $450, its complicated to simply put another system with the only reasoning being better Tec, This is just my opinion, and it can be majorly wrong, but i think that Better Graphics and Tec isnt gonna cut it next gen if they are requiring high Prices, Innovation or something special needs to be Implemented. As i said though, i can be wrong and this is just my thoughts for the time being.

I think that's the mindset of most people, including myself.

The $299.99 price just feels right, but we'll see.

If Nintendo values the 3DS XL at $200, they will value a home console higher; so $300 sounds about right. I'm sure Nintendo will price the system this way, because they can always lower the price.
