Scarface: the World is Yours was always meant as a "What If" type situation, the creators of the game never pretended for it to be anything but an excuse to play as Tony Montana and eff things up.

I'm surprised Back to the Future from 1989 didn't make it into this list. Even the screenwriter insisted people should not buy it!

I'm still fucked up about how you said Scarface is like a GTA plot. GTA is heavily influenced by movies like Scarface and directly influenced in the case of Vice City. God damn.

Scarface is actually one of the better movie-related games ever made, probably because they were made decades apart.

I actually liked the take on Scarface, though it may be related to the fact I haven't seen the movie. I know Tony was supposed to die there, but anyone can't deny they executed well the empire building part of the game. Sometimes evils must be done to get things like that.

No joke. Some sentences are just jumbles of words that barely convey a meaning, that could just as easily mean the opposite of what you think it is even trying to say.

My favorite instance of this is the two Yavin bonus missions in Rogue Squadron II, "Triumph of the Empire" and "Revenge on Yavin." You get to fly Darth Vader's TIE fighter over the Death Star and blow up all of the Rebel scum trying to make the trench run. After that, you get to fly down to Yavin and shoot down transports trying to evacuate (why they didn't just ice the planet with the Death Star, I have no idea). Needless to say, they'd have to change the names of Episodes V and VI to "The Empire Triumphant" and "The Thousand-Year Empire" if all of the main characters had died at the end of A New Hope.

Scarface is the only one on here I've played.
