One thing I'm most excited about is you can upgrade straight from Super(I never bought AE). I thought I was done with SF4... But poison and elena? Yeeeah maybe not...

    Come on, it's Haggar!

This is shameful to us hardcore fighters..........

Seems likely that the new character will be based on an existing model in the game since that is what they did in Arcade Edition. Yun and Yang being twins means they only had to make one new character model, and Oni and Evil Ryu are based on existing models; It makes sense, it will save them more time and money than developing a whole new design. A Goutetsu could easily be based on a tweaked Gouken, another "Evil" character is a possibility, maybe an evil Chun Li(Shadow Lady) I'm hoping to be surprised by something completely out there like Final Fight's Retu or something, but Oni and Evil Ryu taught me to keep my expectations as low as they come.

Yeah, i dunno what to make of it. It sounds like it will be an existing character, just not one from Street Fighter and not necessarily from a fighting game at all, which is interesting.

I'm calling it right now: the mystery character is Goutetsu. "But Friezaaaaaaa! Goutetsu is dead!" Then dig him up.
  • Swedish_Chef - July 22, 2013 7:01 p.m.

In the Street Fighter universe, death is simply an inconvenience. Look at Gouken, surviving a coma without food/water or anyone even realising he was still alive for god knows how many years.

If that's the case, lets get Go Hibiki on the scene as well. I always wanted to see what that guy was made of.
  • Swedish_Chef - July 22, 2013 9:24 p.m.

If Go made it in I'd main him as well as Dan in a heartbeat.
  • Frieza - July 23, 2013 8:41 a.m.

I doubt you''ll be able to use him in tournaments though. Go would probably be God tier, so he would be banned from all tournaments. He is the father of Dan after all.

As great as Cross Tekken was, SF4 is still more balanced and I frankly can't wait.to use Rolento in a one on one state There's supposedly a mysterious 5th character. Capcom keeps teasing saying they never appeared in a "Street Fighter Game" before, and then saying it will make his/her debut in a fighting game, and then outright saying "Its very related to street fighter" Its possible its probably an new character in general but Capcom is making it sound they exist somewhere before. My guess, considering Udon is doing the alt costume pre-orders, its possibly a Udon comic Street Fighter Character. Maybe that twin tomahawk wielding girl you had in your list.

Wow, I've heard of beating a dead horse, but this is ridiculous
  • shawksta - July 22, 2013 6:39 p.m.

Eh, Street Fighter is ALWAYS like this, Street Fighter 2 has like 20 versions. Fighting games and most specifically the community of the.genre love keeping everything alive and in motion, Capcom is just doing updates to add more to the experience
  • Scoob - July 22, 2013 7:10 p.m.

But this horse ain't dead. Fourth version over a long console generation, with each addition being DLC at $15 or 20, or charging $40 to pick up at the current version. More reasonable than going with an EA Sports or Activision yearly update at $60.

To be fair it's not like it's the only fighting game this gen with a crap ton of instalments, I think BlazBlue has about the same amount of installments as the Street Fighter 4 series with Chrono Phantasma coming out.
  • g1rldraco7 - July 22, 2013 5:36 p.m.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
  • shawksta - July 22, 2013 6:41 p.m.

Depends, being a fighting game it has perks of owners of the game unlike other genre's.
