TRON light cycle mouse launches

It’s sleek, it’s shiny, and it will light up your play area. Inspired by the light cycles in the upcoming TRON film, Razer’s latest gaming mouse lights up as you point and click. It also comes loaded with sound effects from the movie if the flashy LEDs aren’t enough to make you feel like you’re mousing through the Game Grid. The TRON gaming mouse is meant to be extra precise with a 5600dpi 3.5G laser sensor and more buttons than you have fingers on your mousing hand; we counted seven “hyperesponse” buttons in the tech specs.

We only wish it wasn’t so darn expensive. This sexy controller will set you back $100 dollars. More pictures below.

Good thing I have the warranty from Best Buy for my $70 Razr mouse. All I have to do is bring it back with the box and pay the difference.

I was looking at razer mouses, and a buddy of mine let me try his, they're pretty slick. That and this one says tron on it... 100 bucks is pretty steep though, and i'm all poor from october. Still i'll look into it. Thanks for the info!

There better be a matching keyboard for this.
  • MrDandy - November 23, 2010 10:15 p.m.

    Might have to do that.

Gotta admit, thats a pretty sweet mouse. Really got my attention, as I was looking at building a gaming rig, so I could see myself spending a little extra for something like this.
  • hardcore_gamer1990 - November 23, 2010 9:45 p.m.

I just came. To be fair though, I'd have to try it first.
  • mockraven - November 23, 2010 9:32 p.m.

It's sleek, it's sexy, but I agree with Hydrohs. Is it comfortable to use? Razor has a pretty good reputation but the pictures make it look a little uncomfortable. Slightly off topic but I'm really excited to see how the new Tron movie comes out. I remember watching it ALL the time when I was a kid and it made frisbees so cool.
  • Hydrohs - November 23, 2010 9:22 p.m.

The boxy design of it doesn't appeal to me as much as Razer's other products. I can't imagine I would find it comfortable.

Tyler, I wonder if I can buy the tron mouse from I see it advertised so much in the articles. Fuck you spammers from China!
