Three new PS3, 360 and PC titles revealed
First details and imagery on a trio of fresh Codemasters games
Publisher/developer Codemasters has today revealed three new titles for 2008 that will be released on 'leading console platforms' (read that as PS3 and Xbox 360) and PC. Race Driver One may not have the TOCA prefix but is the next outing in the successful series of racing games; Operation Flashpoint 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the PC-only tactical shooter; and Rise of the Argonauts is an all new action RPG.
Read on for more info on each of these new games...
Rise of the Argonauts
Developed by Liquid Entertainment, Rise of the Argonauts is set against the fantasy-rich background of ancient Greece and promises 'deep exploration and epic quests.' Oh, and a life of 'brutal combat,' of course.
And what good is a life of brutal combat if you can't share it with friends? Happily, then, players will have a party to lead through the dusty landscapes and pillared temples – enlisted Argonauts so far include Jason, Hercules and Atalanta.
Admittedly, only minimal details have been released so far but - as Sony's God of War games have proven so brilliantly - ancient Greece provides a veritable sackful of monsters, gods, temples and legends ripe for pilfering and we look forward to seeing how Rise of the Argonauts shapes up.
