Long time reader, first time poster. I am slightly dissapointed to not see The Order from the Silent Hill series. But apperantly there are so many video game religions it must have been hard to chose just 7

Good article. Now you need to do an article about the religious nut jobs that will defend their console/platform/game even at the slightest of gripes.

I'm only slightly disappointed that the Happy-Happy Cultist from Earthbound weren't on the list. In general, anything featuring Earthbound isn't mentioned enough here.

What about the Sith and their (boring) counter part the Jedi? shouldn't they also be counted for like a cult or something? I mean they have all the key elements of a cult, secrecy, exclusiveness (You have to be born with special power to join, and even after you join, you have no idea what other Sith are doing most of the time), plus insanely harsh deciplin (aiming at killing you during the process), completely cut off from the rest of the world...(except they try to take over the galaxy).

You know what random church i find really creepy for no adequate reason? the church in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum in Hearthome City. Then again, they worship one of the most tangible Deities ever: Arceus (and related dragon trio) But, Chuck Norris is already my chosen savior.

The one in Alundra is a pretty good 'un too, but the BoF one sounds similar to it.

First of all, good article. I've been a long-time reader but hadn't taken the time to create an account to post even though I'd wanted to a few times. However, this article drove me to finally do it. Simply enough, how is Xenogears not on here?

Ooh I loved the Epsilon Program. I remember in San Andreas all the weird things that the guy said (such as tithing 8.25%). I think there was even an interview in the talk radio station.
