TGS 2011: Mario Tennis 3DS announced

Nintendo’s pre-TGS press conference is underway, and Nintendo has started to unveil some news that should, hopefully, help spike sales for their fledgling handheld. The first big announcement comes in the form of Mario Tennis 3DS, which looks, well… exactly like you’d expect it to look. The video they showed off looks exactly like the last few Mario Tennis games, though that’s not something we’re going to complain about. The series has consistently been the most impressive of the Mario sports titles, and we’re excited to find out more. According to Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata, the game will make use of the 3DS’ gyro motion sensor. We’ll keep you posted as more is announced—hopefully we’ll give a full, proper trailer soon.

Strikers and Sluggers are great but nothing can beat the originals. I hooe they bring the variety from Power Tennis, and online Multiplayer would be AWESOME, especially with the minigames!
