QOTW:
What's the first thing you ordered online?
With all the Portal 2 goings-on that ensued on Steam this week, it occurred to us that we very rarely buy anything in an actual store anymore. And it's not because we're old! Sure, online purchasing has been omnipresent for some time, but we're betting even the younglings among you can remember your first item bought on the web. If only because of the required credit card! Let us know and we might read your response LIVE on TalkRadar 149!

Want to listen to TalkRadar on your mobile device? We recommend Stitcher (it's way better than iTunes!)

In the office

Above: The office Pokemon tournament got very heated this week, as Henry narrowly beat Brett in the first round, avenging his loss to Elston from a year previous...

Above: While Mike Grimm routed Eric handily, which lead to a final match between Grimm and Henry. And the winner was...

Above: Michael Grimm! Here's Grimm being presented with his award by reigning Poke-Queen Carolyn. She sat out the tourney to give the rest of the office a chance at winning

It made my day to hear myself name mentioned on TalkRadar! Thanks for the Stacking DLC, now if only the PSN would return so I could play it.

    Great podcast.

This episode is my favorite because I made you guys laugh. You make me laugh every episode, and I got to return the favor with my joke about Jax and his polygamist arms.

    Wonderful. Wonderful wonderful episode.

The board game trivia had me laughing out loud. I started cracking up on the treadmill when you kept spamming the Mr. Bucket sounds. TALKRADAR!

I hate to say it but this is goodbye for now TDAR. I know you don’t care and you certainly will not care about the reason, but after 140+ episodes "together" I feel the need to express my reason before I leave. The reason, I am tired of the Jesus /Christianity bashing. Episode 148's comments were no worse than most of the previous rants (mostly Antista) but I have had my fill of it. I am lifelong Catholic and live in Nowhereville TN so I have had to develop a healthy tolerance for ignorant religious comments (mainly from other Christian faiths), but like I have said I have had enough of TDAR's commentary. In the past, some of TDAR’s commentary on religion and tolerance has been thoroughly enjoyable. A specific example that I can remember, was the news story the group played about the doll with a supposed hidden Islamic message. TDAR’s blasting of the idiotic lady and the news organization was hysterical. Even better was the mock subliminal messages Antista inserted into the rest of the podcast, such as “Christianity makes my tummy hurt”. It lampooned the accuracy of the story as well as calling out its intolerance. However, over the last year, any religious commentary has centered on the Christian faith and been increasingly mean-spirited and based solely on stereotypes. According to TDAR, all Christians are ultra-conservative, intolerant, un-enlightened idiots (i.e. we are all Mel Gibson). Again after increasing incidents and bashing I have tired of being stereotyped. Religious and political conversations like these are acceptable even entertaining/enjoyable in an “entertainment” formats, such as TDAR, when there is a give and take, various points of view. These do not exist at TDAR and unless TDAR can start providing a contrarian point of view to the Jesus/Christian bashing, I wish they would stop, but we all know that will not happen. For what it is worth, it is not easy to give up TDAR. I have an hour long commute and when not making me feel like an a$$h0le/idiot for still having faith, it fills the time perfectly with the gaming talk and life that I love. The bashing has sucked the fun out of TDAR for me. So I am exercising the right/ability to shut it off.

I was just talking to my Dad about Mortal Kombat, and APPARENTLY we went to the Mortal Kombat live show when I was a kid. I totally forgot about this, even though I do remember going to a Power Rangers one. He even remembered Sonya Blades! Just thought I'd share.

Yaaaay! Quick note, I brought a retail copy of l4d in Australia. It is just the steam version on a disk (and my disk didn't work). Valve games do not exist outside of Steam on the pc.
