Sony contest gives you a chance to be immortalized in Resistance 3

A lot of video games promise to put you in the action, but Sony Computer Entertainment America is taking it one step further by letting one lucky winner actually appear as a human character in the upcoming Resistance sequel.

All you have to do is send in a picture of yourself. Okay, there's a bit more to it than that - Sony wants you to dress up in your best "Resistance battle themed costume," in an apocalyptic environment that looks like something you'd see in the Resistance franchise. Props, scenery and/or sets are strongly encouraged.

Each entry must also contain a brief statement explaining why you'd make the perfect "extra" in Resistance 3. One winner will receive a trip for two to San Diego, including airfare and two nights at a hotel (though the winner may still have to pay airline fees as well as tax on the hotel room).

The prize also includes an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the studio of developer Insomniac Games. Once there, Insomniac will take a facial scan of the winner to be immortalized in the game as a human survivor.

You don't have a lot of time. The contest closes on March 11, so be sure to visit your local Post Apocalyptic Scenery And Costumes R Us as soon as possible.

The contest's entry form is available at http://us.playstation.com/resistance3getinthegame/

@Jackelsburg Ah, thanks for the info. For some reason the site didn't want to load on my browser. Kinda sucks for people who work and/or attend school since the season has short daylight hours and (at least here) 5pm means a few minutes until sunset. There's not much window for good outdoor shots or finding who to borrow clothing and props from. :p

@mockraven i looked at the official rules and it said that it started on march 7th, so they're only giving us just this week to do this...

I'm hoping this contest was actually up for longer than 4 days before the deadline, because it'd be awesome to see some great shots with people who *had time* (note the emphasis) to get their stuff together and submit something impressive. I hope we also get to see the winning shots and runners up. I love stuff like this.
