Last of Us screens - See Naughty Dog's vision of the post-apocalypse in hi-def

Escort-heavy actioner looks like more than just a beardy Uncharted

Naughty Dog's shared a crop of new screens from its post-apocalyptic teamwork-'em-up, The Last of Us, and the game's looking rather lovely in all its run-down, HD glory. You can make out the folds on hero Joel's shirt as he pummels pleading squatters with a pipe, or count the hairs in his beard as he hurls bricks at fleeing miscreants. That right there is some good-looking survivalist rage!

Of course, the game's looking like more than just stalking ruins and murdering transients. We got our analyzin' caps on last month to pick through what we know of the game so far – and if Naughty Dog's enigmatic side-project continues to show as much promise as we saw back then, we're looking forward to seeing more. Particularly if they're this full of scraggly, bearded violence.

Wait, where is this game set? Cos if you look at picture 9, I'm damn sure that's the Tyne Bridge in the distance! But then again, it could be the Golden Gate Bridge :) if somebody could clear this up, please do xD
