Rock Band 3 setlist leak reveals Skynyrd, Lennon, Primus, and more!

A big chunk of Rock Band 3's setlist has leaked thanks to a video interview mishap, presumably at Gamescom. In the background of a now-removed YouTube video by GottGameShows, a Harmonix employee can be seen scrolling through the game's tracks, and thanks to the power of HD video, many of the songs are visible. Rockbandaide posted a list of the song titles which have been deciphered. They include Free Bird, Imagine, and many other big deals. Check it out!

The Bronx – "False Alarm"
Lynyrd Skynyrd – "Free Bird"
Beach Boys – "Good Vibrations (Live)"
Tegan and Sara – "The Con"
Riverboat Gamblers – "Don’t Bury Me… I’m Still Not Dead"
The Police – "Don’t Stand So Close to Me"
Steve Miller Band – "Fly Like an Eagle"
Blondie – "Heart of Glass"
The Who – "I Can See For Miles"
James Brown – "I Got You (I Feel Good)"
Ramones – "I Wanna Be Sedated"
John Lennon – "Imagine"

Dover – "King George"
Raveonettes – "Last Dance"
The Sounds – "Living in America"
Phish – "Llama"
Faith No More – "Midlife Crisis"
Paramore – "Misery Business"
Queens of the Stone Age – "No One Knows"
At the Drive-In – "One Armed Scissor"
The Muffs – "Outer Space"
Golden Earring – "Radar Love"
Amy Winehouse – "Rehab"
Elton John – "Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)"

Devo – "Whip It"
Warren Zevon – "Werewolves of London"
Flaming Lips – "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt. 1"

Until it's officially confirmed, this list is just a rumor, but the source seems legit enough. And as Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock's setlist was just announced, we figure Harmonix was on the verge of officially announcing theirs as well. We'll let you know when they do, but in the meantime, check out Rockbandaide's very-thorough list of confirmed and rumored songs.

What do you think? Love it? Hate it? Feel free to just post "FREE BIRD!" as your response, if you want.

Omg yes, Misery Business! When I get this game, I'll have so many songs I won't know what to do first *over 300 DLC currently* >_>

    Needs more metal.

The only reason I am buying this, as well as GH; Warriors of Rock (I love 'em both, but GH is more fun to me because I like to be challenged), is to be able to play "Werewolves of London"!
  • sleepy92ismypsn - August 20, 2010 2:21 a.m.

@tomsta666 it doesn't matter Rock Band always does them better.
  • Tomsta666 - August 19, 2010 11:33 p.m.

Not to be hater, but a good chunk of these have already been on guitar hero. Hell, i'm still looking forward to this though.

If you go through the link to Rockbandaide's list, it seems a lot better. All of the songs on this list are listed as rumored on that list and all the confirmed songs sound more like what a Rock Band playlist should sound like.

I was actually really hoping for a-ha's "Take on Me", Van Halen's "Jump", and (of course) a keyboard-enhanced version of "Don't Stop Believin'". But Free Bird pretty much wins everything every time. I'm in. Interesting to see the range of opinions as to whether this or Guitar Hero ( has the better list. What, nobody wants to weigh in on how Just Dance 2 compares? Yeah, me neither.

It already looks better than Warriors of Rock. Not to mention that the best songs in WoR (Fortunate Son, Bat Country, Feels Like the First Time) are already available for Rock Band. That's the best part of preferring Rock Band, you don't have to look up all the songs just to make sure you couldn't download them instead. It'll also be interesting to see how my fake guitar playing skills have improved since I started playing music games with Guitar Hero 2. I wasn't quite able to beat Free Bird on expert guitar and I traded in my PS2 before I ever beat it.

Wow this song list is bad, it pails in comparisn to the GH6 songlist, and i'm not even afan by. That's a horrible list of songs. Freebird has already been in other music games and the artists, I mean Amy Winehouse? For ROCK Band? Really? Up the ante with the rest Harmonix please.
  • ikodo - August 19, 2010 10:32 p.m.

I think this playlist blows. Only about half of the songs in this list haven't been in other versions of Guitar Hero and/or Rock Band. Of those new songs, only a handfull are actually good. This is completely dropping the ball. Most of these songs were made before 2000, making this feel outdated. It's starting to sound more like 'Casual Band' or 'Soft Rock Band'. I'm not picking this up unless things change drastically.
  • Firewarrior706 - August 19, 2010 10:28 p.m.

Hopefully there's a large amount of Metal to be added to this list.
  • sleepy92ismypsn - August 19, 2010 9:59 p.m.

This isn't even the whole setlist and already it looks way better than Guitar hero WOR's(big surprise there...*Borat voice* NOT!) I can't wait to sing and play Imagine on the keynoard. I swear I could write a book about how much better Rock Band is than Guitar Hero.

    FREE BIRD! ReCaptcha: 198,241,281,346, ismils

I found it ironic that I read this while Free Bird was playing on the radio. o__o Gotta love those redneck classic-rock stations. xD
  • TheSpanishAnnounceTable - August 19, 2010 8 p.m.

    :') Such a Good tracklist

I've kind of been holding off playing any more RB 2 lately, waiting for 3. Why is it still so far off?! This list just makes me want it more, and hope for more Primus and Smiths as DLC. I just wish Fascination Street were here, instead of Guitar Hero.
  • jpalz - August 19, 2010 7:11 p.m.

    WOW! Now we're talking!
  • ihitthedrum - August 19, 2010 7:04 p.m.

I was hoping for a better list, but The Police, The Who, Primus, and James Brown are pretty awesome.
