Red Ring of Death discovered in Bulletstorm

Bulletstorm is full of snarky asides about giant dicks and whatnot, but apparently its snark extends to self-referential, non-genital-related piss taking - in this case at the expense of the 360's notorious propensity for hardware failure, and the three red lights that went with it. A video posted yesterday by Team Lag shows just that:

The Easter egg was found in the 360 version of the game - we wonder if other versions contain different jokes, or if Microsoft gets a razzing all around? It may be one of the first, but it almost definitely won't be the last Bulletstorm Easter egg to be discovered, so keep your eyes out while they're not focused on Skill Shots.

This is also a great excuse to embed Palette-Swap Ninja's Three Red Lights, featuring former GR editor, now Activision community man, Dan Amrich! Enjoy:

Um, considering this is one of the FIRST jokes - literally, this scene is like 1 minute into play time - and that it's not even optional in the slightest, I don't think you can legitimately call this an easter egg. The term "Easter Egg", considering its holiday roots, connotes something the gamer must SEARCH FOR - this particular joke is part of the narrative. There is literally NO WAY you can miss it, so, really, it's just a visual joke. A funny one to be sure (even to those of us who've suffered from red ringing, multiple times!), but it's not something you have to "keep an eye out" for, it's just the first real laugh of the game.

I'm so worried about getting a red ring at the minute, since my Xbox was pre-owened, I needed something like this to take my mind office :L

And here I thought Cliffy B. was an Xbox loyalist.

I love my xbox, but that's just funny.

I actually noticed that right from the get go. It had me laughing from then on. I have had a lot of RROD problems in the past so this...this was a breath of fresh air. Great game! SO FUN!

I think there is a subtle "Enslaved" reference with Triska referring to Grayson as monkey all the time.

So they have non-phallic jokes? Why didn't they tell anyone??

Playing this game on PS3, so no worries.

Anything that gives me an excuse to listen to Palette-Swap Ninja is immediately awesome.
