Well I want to play this game now.

I have to admit that I just stared at the screen with a big smile on my face when I saw them play that rock music stage during the conference. It sounds amazing and just looked like so much fun to play. Part of me hates to say it, but if I had to choose between Mario and Rayman as a platforming title to play at launch, it's Rayman all the way.

Pretty much this and Project P-100 so far are the main reasons I'd be interested in having a Wii U... And Man does this look even more and more enticing. Still probably not enough... And it make me wish it could come to the other platforms... But murphy seemingly being such an essential part of the gameplay, it seems very unlikely. Well, all the same, this game looks fantastic, and I just hope Rayman keeps rocking on just as hard as he did with origins, even if i might not be able to enjoy this particular game.

This may be a stupid question, but this is going to be cross platform right? I don't know if I could hold back my anger if it's a WiiU exclusive...

This and Pikmin 3 are, so far, the only things I want for the Wii U. AND MURPHY IS NOT A NEW CHARACTER UGH

...It's a Wii U exclusive. *puts up shield*

Well shit... Looks like I'll be stealing my little brother's system and game once again when it comes out...

In all fairness the music stages in Rayman Legends were obviously inspired by that fan made video where Mario is running through an insane stage bopping enemies and getting power up to the beat of a song Lol So far I am loads more excited about the Mario level's we haven't seen than anything Rayman... I have a feeling the Van Gogh level is just the tip of the berg-of-awesome Nintendo has planned for NSMBWU, also there were some levels in NSMBW that I found harder than anything in Origins(although there were only like 6 AND it was me and a friend trying to get all of the coins AND get to the end both very challenging) and I bet Nintendo really brings their A game in this one with all the extra horse power! It will be more like Galaxy 2, beating the game will be challenging but 100%'ing it will be a real ass whippin'.

I love how something always has to be better than something else. I mean, you can't just think that both are great; that would be ludicrous.

Everyone is going to ask it anyway.. so why not answer it? It's called jouralism.

Before I state my opinion I have to say how glad I am Raving Rabids and Rayman are separate and Rayman can go back to doing what he does best. I LOVED Origins with all my heart, it was like a trip back in time, a simpler time, where games were challenging and simple and so supremely fun. I'm looking forward to Legends even if the Wii U is something I don't get right away (read: a few years) But that video of the rock stage is exactly the kind of thing I'd expect from a Rayman game, especially after Origins. My favorite levels in Origins were the ones with the rhythmic jumping and punching that you needed to get down to a science, like the treasure levels. Furthermore, I got my friend hooked on Origins when I forced him to play coop with me, I don't think I could have beaten the Livid Dead level by myself, I miss games with difficulty and I wish they were less rare.

Also they didn't really say one was better than the other, it was more just comparing it to a similar title.
  • El Dango - June 12, 2012 11:08 a.m.

I'd say it's more Rayman Origins bonus stages mixed with Guitar Hero.

    Your move red plumber!
  • Nikku7 - June 12, 2012 12:42 p.m.

I really like NSMB games but I do like how Rayman's recent games don't play it as safe. Definitely be getting both of course.
  • TheFabricOfTime - June 12, 2012 5:41 p.m.

Mario needs something better than more of the same kinds of levels and a new power-up. This game looks epic. Mario just sort of looked like Mario.

Damn it, now I'm gonna have to buy a Wii U. Sorry, wallet.
