Spoilers suck, especially when they show up without warning. So if you want to check out gameplay of the new Ratchet & Clank game without spoiling the upcoming movie adaptation, know that Insomniac Games has got your back. A new patch will block clips from the movie (which are woven into in-game cutscenes and levels) from viewers when the game is being streamed, and disable the Share button during these scenes.
Sharing will still be functional for the rest of the game, and the blocking of scenes will have no impact on the person playing the game. All this patch does is help keep the plot a surprise for those who'd rather experience the tale of the last Lombax and his mechanical companion on the big screen.
Speaking of which, Ratchet & Clank (the game) is available now in the US, and will debut in US theaters on April 29. Both the game and film will premiere on April 20 in Europe.
