I'm going to dig back a bit and suggest Grendel by Matt Wagner. Grendel as a character gets passed onto a successor when the original dies, so the game could be episodic or just have sections that focus on one character at a time. End of chapter hero dies or retires and mantle passes to new hero. The comics were a mix of action and strong story with a bit of a Batman vibe. (There was even a Batman/Grendel crossover). It could have different settings, eras, fighting styles and game mechanics for each chapter. But done better than "Spider-Man through Time" or whatever it was called. Obviously!

Calvin and Hobbes, its an all time favourite comic of mine. Done as a fun adventure where you get to sabotage Suzie with water balloons and ride your red wagon down a hill into an inevitable huge crash while a life pondering monologue shows up. No voice acting so that you don't ruin the magic that Bill Watterson created

With DLC for Spaceman Spiff and Tracer Bullet.
  • ProjectAlpha - October 28, 2013 3:27 p.m.

I want a Pearls Before Swine game. It would literally be Grand Theft Auto with Rat as the protagonist.

Shit, I know next to nothing about, how about a Spiderman game? Wait, they made a couple of about a Superman one? Hold on, there are at least twenty of those...well theres this comic called Fables that stars fairy tale characters that....oh. Fuck it, make an Asterix game.

I want a Dilbert video game. If you have never read it, Dilbert is a newspaper comic about sociopaths in the work place. So I imagine the Dilbert game would be a mixture of a rouge-like and visual novel. You would pick a character, and be put into random scenarios with the absolute scum of society. Maybe you meet a Wally, the type of person who puts all of his effort and energy into not working. Or an Alice, who beats up the other coworkers for reasons only she understands. You would play as a character who meets these types of misfits, and has to say the right thing to get them to leave you alone and go back to work. When you need Wally to stop bothering you, you threaten to report him to the boss. When you are threatened by an Alice, tell her the intern has been talking smack about her behind her back, and watch as she stuffs the intern into an air vent. This could be a very fun and compelling game as long as you have the tools to be a terrible human being.

I want an Atomic Robo action puzzler. In between fighting off hordes of para-dimensional vampires and Chthonic monstrosities you can work with Tesla to discover new and exciting ways to break apart the very fabric of existance, all in the hame of SCIENCE (action-science!)! Also, I've been slugging (organized hitchhiking) in the DC area for two years now. There are pretty strong rules of etiquette that have been set up and both refusing to take a ride and refusing to take a passenger because you don't feel comfortable with them is accepted, though rarely does it actually come up. I've only once considered not taking a ride, and it ended up being perfectly fine in the end.

Dig this - an X-Men game done in the style of Persona 4. You begin as a new mutant enrolling in Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters (customizable in what powers you have as well as appearance), meet iconic X-Men teachers around the school, go to classes, maintain a social life, pursue a romantic relationship, and so on. In place of dungeons, you'd do missions in the Danger Room, with the occasional boss fight against the Brotherhood of Evil (which would offer choices to defect to their side) and other baddies. There's tons of history to draw on, and the Persona 4 frame would make a great fit for a teenage character trying to get through life as a mutant.

An open world Hawkeye or Green arrow game could be awesome. I would almost prefer Hawkeye because Matt Fraction's current run is amazing and if he were involved the dialogue would be spot on. You would be able to weld a plethora of different types of arrows, an Arkham style combat system for hand- to - hand. You would be able to run around and interact with the Avengers as well as some of the less popular characters.

A Telltale style Transmetropolitan game could be cool, it's low in action, high in dialogue. A Bioware style RPG set in Saga would be great, it has one of those rich universes that you really want to explore. Finally, there's a comic called "Sex Criminals" about a man and a woman who stop time whenever they orgasm, and use this power to rob banks. It only has to issues out, but I'm pretty sure with the right peripheral a sweet Oculus Rift game could be made.

I would love a GOOD Iron Man game. All you need is good controls, that is the main complaint with the other Iron Man games. All you need for an Iron Man game is good flight controls, customization of his suit, and an open city to fly in.

Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman games like the Batman Arkham games but highlighting their special characteristics, powers, antagonists and worlds. then a justice league game that has them plus Flash, Shazam, Dr Fate, Blue Beetle, Green Lantern, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Martian Manhunter and several others in a nice linear story of them going up against their biggest/wide scale enemies such as Starro, Darkseid, Injustice Society, Crime Syndicate of America, The Reach, The Light, etc etc Then a young Justice/Teen Titans spin off in the like as well.

I'll say Superman because he needs redemption for superman 64

I would love to see Bone in a Zelda style game. Switching between the three Bone characters and exploring the universe would be awesome. Each of the three Bones could have different skills. Fone is the courageous hero, Phoney is crafty and could locate and use hidden treasures and gold, and Smiley could complete musical challenges with his lute. The comic is equal parts funny, spooky, and exciting, and I would love to see the world in a game. Plus, it has dragons, great jokes, Moby Dick references, and those stupid, stupid rat creatures.

You guys are awesome... If I had friends i would want them to be like you. :)
  • g1rldraco7 - October 26, 2013 1:07 a.m.

I would like an elder scrolls style game with Catwoman as the main character. You would experience what made her into the deadly thief she is. See why she likes cats so much, how she does all those crazy moves, her weapons and outfit are altered by the results of the different heists. Also we'll get to see how she first met Batman and you can see how off and on their relationship is. Also thank you guys for the mental image since if Magrino and Coop were in a relationship, Tom would be the guy and Coop would be the female in that partnership. Maybe it'll push down the thought of Lorenzo sitting on the beach in just a pair of swimming trunks or because it's in my head, he's not wearing anything. GREG!!!!!
