Sony's PS4 has officially been unveiled, and we know a lot about it. We know approximately when it will come out, what developers are on board, what the controller will look like, and what games are in the works. What's still hazy, though, is which titles will be available for launch, and which won't make the system's holiday 2013 release.

We have some information, though, and we've rounded it all up into one place. Here, we list the games confirmed for launch when the system ships, those that are likely to be launch titles, and others that... well... we just sort of hope are. Take a look, and be sure to check back regularly as we continue to keep this updated.

These are games that have been confirmed by their publishers to be launching alongside the console.

Killzone 2 was the star of Sony's E3 reveal of the PlayStation 3, so it's no surprise that Guerrilla Games is hard at work getting the next iteration of the franchise ready for the PS4. Revealed at the Sony event, Killzone: Shadow Fall looks breathtaking. The demo showed off a beautiful city torn apart by war, and some of the coolest set-piece battles we've seen in some time.

Sony has officially confirmed that we can play Killzone: Shadow Fall at launch, which makes sense. The FPS genre is one of the most popular out there, and if Sony wants to be able to compete with Microsoft this year, it's going to want to make sure it goes in guns blazing.

We expected to see a new Gran Turismo at Sony's event. GT is the racing franchise as far as many are concerned--but it wasn't present. Instead, we were introduced to Driveclub, Evolution Studios' take on the sport of team racing, and we weren't disappointed.

The MotorStorm developer's new IP has been something the team has wanted to do for nearly a decade, and now it's finally being given a chance to make the incredibly detailed racer. Everything from the engine's tuning to the stitching of the wheel will be rendered in immaculate detail, and the inclusion of first-person view (not cockpit view--full, true, first-person view) should make this the perfect game for racing fans.

When we first saw Watch Dogs at E3 2012, we thought that it was too good to be true. Turns out, we were right--the amazing-looking open-world game is actually a next-gen release, and it's hitting the PlayStation 4 at launch. You'll be exploring near-future Chicago as Aiden Pearce, a technophile that can bend the world with the power of a cell phone.

At Sony's event, Ubisoft showed how Aiden's tech skills can be used to strike it rich (by hacking ATMs or stealing from nearby people's bank accounts) or to evade enemies. When chased by police, he hacked into pylons and caused them to shoot out of the ground, smashing the approaching police cars and allowing him to escape. He can also slow down time for some reason. There's an app for that, we guess.

Knack was actually the first PlayStation 4 game ever shown off, so it's fitting that it'll be there when the console launches this holiday season. Developed by Mark Cerny--game industry veteran and system architect of the PlayStation 4--the game's story involves a war between humans and goblins. In order to defeat their enemies, mankind crafts Knack, a bundle of rocks and shapes that merge together to form a cute, robotic-looking thing.

The visuals are brilliant, like an interactive Pixar movie, and the gameplay looks like a blend of Jak & Daxter (which Cerny actually worked on) and Katamari Damacy. Knack absorbs objects around him, growing and shrinking as he fights enemies. It's the kind of all-ages game that Sony and Microsoft usually ignore when it comes to launch titles, and it's nice to see Sony head back in that direction.

These are games that, most likely, will make launch, because we have no reason to believe they won't.

Even if the Dynasty Warriors franchise hasn't been at the forefront of gamer's minds since the PS2, Tecmo Koei has consistently been able to churn them out for new console releases. Now, for those that do adore them, these games are incredible, constantly expanding on the Three Kingdoms universe with large-scale battles and a humongous cast of characters.

Previously DW games were often used partially as tech demos, demonstrating the horsepower of a new system by packing the screen full of sword-wielding warriors. This next entry could up the ante even further. Also, you should expect more of the fan-favorite Musou mode and a host of new playable characters.

We loved Sucker Punch's Infamous series--blasting enemies with lightning and throwing tornadoes at foes in awesome open-world environments was a blast. Even so, we didn't really expect to see the franchise returning so soon, but we were pleasantly surprised by what was shown off.

Apparently, Cole is out in InFamous: Second Son , replaced with a snarky character that reminds us of DmC's Dante. This new Conduit has fire powers, and uses them to take on D.U.P. troops, who apparently run the country like a police state.

Yes, Madden comes out several months before we expect the next-gen to launch. But the same could be said about the 3DS, or the Xbox 360, or the PlayStation 3, or the Wii U--all of which were... erm... graced with a Madden launch title. Regardless of release date, EA Sports usually finds a way to release a (sub-par) Madden on new consoles--why would the PS4 be any different?

It'll look good, it'll play fine, and it'll have most of the features of the most recent Madden game. Most, though, but not all; expect a few missing bells and whistles when Madden 25 hits the PS4, because, well, that's sort of how every Madden launch title has been.

Kojima Production’s next game, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, has screamed “next-gen” to us since it was first shown. Yes, Kojima has gone on record that Ground Zeroes is for current consoles, but his new FOX game engine is said to be scalable for future hardware. For a developer known for cutting edge graphics, it all adds up to a PS4 release.

Please note that we aren’t saying it’ll be a Sony exclusive, but for a series that has a rich history with PlayStation, we bet Kojima will at least show the game for the first time on Sony hardware. But will it ship at the same time on PS3 and PS4, or was the teased PS3 release just a ruse?

Once upon a time, Final Fantasy XIV was confirmed for release on the PS3 in March of 2011. Unfortunately, FFXIV's PC launch was met with such negative criticism that Square Enix withheld the console release, and began rebuilding the Final Fantasy MMO from the ground up. Though version 2.0--more commonly known as A Realm Reborn--has been confirmed for an eventual PS3 release, we wouldn't be entirely surprised if it will also be available on the PlayStation 4.

Square Enix is marketing FFXIV as the best-looking MMO ever made, and we can't dispute that claim after having seen it in action. Since the graphics engine was redeveloped within the past two years, it's possible that it has been optimized for the PS4's hardware. Plus, FFXIV's Sony exclusivity will undoubtedly help move some new consoles.

It's Ridge Racer! Riiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer!

What, you need more? Fine. Sony loves the Ridge Racer brand, even if gamers don't really care about it. The racing franchise has shown up to nearly every console launch in recent memory--if there's new hardware, there's a new Ridge Racer. That's just the way it is.

Move is coming to the PS4, and so is a new Kinect-like camera. You know what that means! Sports! We don't know for sure what it will include, but we are certain Sony is hoping to cash in on that mainstream jackpot that Nintendo hit with Wii Sports. Judging from the previous game's box art, fake WASP families seem to be head over heels for anything that slightly simulates an outdoor activity.

In all fairness, the previous entries were actually pretty fun, and we always welcome more opportunities for virtual archery. Plus, with the new, enhanced camera, they'll be plenty of opportunities for adding new sports to the mix.

These are games that we have no reason to believe will be available for launch, but we're still holding out hope.

Announced way back in 2006, Final Fantasy Versus XIII has become a white whale for FF fans. Virtually unseen over the last few years, Square Enix has said multiple times that the game is still happening, but there’s been little proof shared with fans. Could the silence be explained by the once PS3 exclusive switching to the PS4 some time ago?

Director Tetsuya Nomura has continually been cagey on details for the game, but PS4 development would go a long way in explaining why. Just imagine the kind of impact a new Final Fantasy reveal would have at the PS4’s public reveal, especially if Versus was renamed Final Fantasy XV. And if it’s not a PS4 game, is there any other logical reason the game hasn’t been shown in over three years.

Oh, The Last Guardian. Announced in 2009, Fumito Ueda's follow-up successor to Shadow of the Colossus has gone through several varieties of development hell. Considering the two-year turnaround for most releases (and the fact that there hasn't been new information on the game in over a year), many have assumed that it has simply been cancelled. We don't think that's the case.

Instead, what if, two years ago, The Last Guardian was simply getting too big. Too good. What if Sony said, "Hey, we don't need this on the PlayStation 3, let's make it a launch title for the PlayStation 4!" Maybe. Ueda has hinted that more information might be coming soon, so our fingers are crossed for an E3 re-reveal.

Yeah, we know Media Molecule seemed content to show off a weird sculpting/dancing game, but we don't think that's all it's working on. With a rallying cry of "Play, Create, and Share," LittleBigPlanet proved to be one of the best franchises on the PlayStation 3 (and the Vita, when it made the jump earlier this year). Adorable Sackboys platforming across beautiful 2D levels have become a PlayStation staple, and if Sony wants to potentially court the casual gamer, there'd be no better franchise to have at launch than LittleBigPlanet.

LBP also would be a great franchise to demonstrate the system's power. A major element of the series' style is its photorealistic visuals, creating objects that look like they could actually exist and letting players interact with them. What better way to show off horsepower than to make a sponge that really looks like an actual sponge?

Sony needs a solid multiplayer shooter in the coming console war, and Starhawk didn't really pan out for the PS3 like some might've hoped. So why not return to the series that already has legions of fans? SOCOM's team-based, tactical gameplay hooked shooting fans like a console version of the original Counter-Strike, and a next-gen version sounds like it would be a sure-fire hit.

SOCOM 4 hit at exactly the wrong time: the game launched right as the PlayStation Network was compromised, so nobody could take the firefights online. Now that those wounds have healed, the SOCOM franchise seems primed to get back into the fight and delight the early adopters of the PS4.
