Pre-orders for PS4 and Xbox One may begin Monday afternoon

GameStop may begin accepting pre-orders for PS4 and Xbox One as early as Monday afternoon, a source inside the retailer tells us. Both Sony and Microsoft plan to further detail their respective systems tomorrow, and it looks like GameStop will ride the wave by opening reservations on the same day or the next morning.

The source also told us that GameStop locations may even open early and close late for the occasion.

GameStop is doing everything it can to be the first word in next-gen console purchases for many consumers, regardless of how publishers and console companies decide to handle used games.

Speaking of which, click ahead for more about Xbox One's used games policy.

Xbone is terrible. Don't buy it, here's the chance to send a message against these policies. A first of many to come. Show them gamers aren't mindless sheep herded from one extreme to the next
