God I love this series. Pre-ordered this game already, mostly for the included soundtrack. Henry, you really should attempt to convince Brett to do a VGMpire episode for Persona.

Ah! this is greatly appreciated! I'm looking forward to this game mainly because it's an Arc systems fighting game, but I know nothing about the Persona games. So a little bit of background and introduction to the characters is very welcome ^^ Personality-wise, Kanji Tatsumi sounds like the most amusing and interesting, though gameplay-wise I think I like Mitsuru and Yu the most.

Thanks! You are the exact person I wrote this for. Now please reread the page a million times. Disclaimer: I am joking

OK, Hank. I hit F5 a million times. You owe me, buddy.

Damn it I am so hyped for this game. Can't wait to smack some fools with a chair and stare at Mitsuru's battle suit

Henry, the martial arts club doesn't exist

Yay it got fixed Although you never take care of a dog during the social link, Chie only mentions taking care of it when Yukiko couldn't in the past Gah I feel like one of those anal nerds, but the truth must be spoken!

Is there a game that the actual Persona games compare to? And is there a good jumping on point or would I need to play them all? I have an interest in the series, but don't have a whole lot of info about it.

They are all self contained entries so you don't have to play any before jumping in. The only game in the series that requires prior knowllege is P2:Eternal Punishment since it is part 2 of P2. also P1 and 2 have old school game play and P3 and 4 are newer RPG style.

Oh typos :D On the Kanji page.. "starting fights and skipping glass" :D Other than that, really nice article, as I wasn't exactly sure who was in the game haha Too bad I can't get it anytime soon (due to lack of the monies ><)

Looking forward to it! I'm still hoping they add more P3 characters as DLC. Junpei and Yukari to be specific.

Really nice article for those not too familiar with the world of Persona, Henry. Already pre-ordered the game, I'll probably main Yukiko since she is my favorite character of P4.

As an Arc System Works fanboy, I plan to pick this up- keep in mind I give a f**k about who these characters are, since I dislike JRPGs. So yeah, this was a nice article that saved me from a Wiki trip : )

I've never really heard of persona before as I don't generally play JRPG's, but it seems to have an interesting story, so I have two questions: What consoles are the previous games on and have they aged well?
  • GR_HenryGilbert - July 25, 2012 6:45 a.m.

They were on PS2, though you can get P3 on PSN for your PS3 and an updated P4 will be out on Vita in the fall. They hold up very well.

Thanks, this info and the first two kingdom hearts games are looking to justify the purchase of a PS2.
