What you say is very true. While this isn't always the case, sometimes when you see a game in action you can immediately tell if it's going to be a bust or not. Being such a devoted NG fan, I couldn't believe my eyes when I watched GamesRadar go through that demo with the developer a while back. It's great to expand on previous games, but this... there was NO possible way it was going to do well. Itagaki... come back to me. lol

Yet another red headed stepchild. Japanese companies just can't catch a break.

My first experience with the first Ninja Gaiden xbox game remains one of the most impressive and memorable moments of my gaming career. It was punishingly difficult, but combat was totally deep and rewarding, and it looked like a 360 game come early. I'm supremely disappointed that this game seems to be so very off-base from a game I idolize.

the guy in the demo video sounds like he is trying to convince himself of the things he is saying

It seems that when Itagaki left Team Ninja died. I mean, first the massive disappointment that was Metroid: Other M, and now this.

I have to agree - The director of a game studio seems to have a massive effect on the quality of the game, same with film directors I guess. Just have to wait for Devil's Third to see how Ninja Gaiden 3 should have been!

This tuesday has been a sad one. A cumulative score of six for two studios main franchise entries makes not a happy gamer. I suppose I'm glad I didn't preorder either, but damn a three is brutal, wouldn't have seen that coming based on the written review.

This seems to be a bad-to-mediocre time for reboots, remakes, and spin-offs.

A 3? Wow. I was expecting something low like a 5, maybe a 6 if you were being generous. It's a shame how far the series has fallen. And I thought only Wii's and Kinect's shovelware only scored 3s...

I expected anything, but not a score as brutal as 3 :o

this makes me very unhappy. for some reason I was sure this was going to be awesome and just picked my copy up, just to read this before playing it. I am not looking forward to playing it anymore

Could you add a little CHARACTER to your video reviews? You sound like a robot....

This is extremely disappointing to me. I played the shit out of the game on original xbox, and even unlocked all the bonus'. Even Ninja Gaiden 2 was fantastically challenging for me. This though, this does not sound like the Ninja Gaiden I know and love. Thanks for the review guys. I am heartbroken...
