They revived Hitler? Shit! Oh, and COD4 makes u believe ur actually Jackson and Soap. You feel like crying when Jackson dies and even worse when the everyone of your friends dies in front of ur eyes.

  • rago - October 20, 2008 10:17 a.m.

I say the guys at gamesradar are right. But does anyone pay attention to the rating as 'M'?

This article makes me think of past wrongs...
  • derringer83 - October 19, 2008 5:42 a.m.

Great article man, assassins creed would be good to include, so would all the issues brought up in MGS, but those are beyond mature: they're baffling.
  • finalcut315 - October 19, 2008 5:16 a.m.

So that's why I didn't enjoy mass effect, here I thought it was because every time I was done talking to people I would say out loud "exit, stage right" which probably took away from the immersion.
  • Juggernaut140 - October 19, 2008 3 a.m.

lol You listed CoD4... EXPLAIN YOURSELF!!!! XscorpionX, that's exactly the kind of maturity they're NOT talking about.

Nice...but how about Metal Gear series? Warfare which is similar to the present situation, a man's acceptance or own dictation of fate, family, friends, loved ones & self-sacrifices for them, you name it. You know, just thought about it.

Great read, I always found it annoying how only violent games are known as Rated M games
  • brothir - October 17, 2008 2:32 p.m.

This article proves that games are the best thing ever. Nuff' said.
  • smallberry - October 17, 2008 6:59 a.m.

All my favorites in one article. I recommend everyone check out a game called The white Chamber. Its freeware and would suit the theme of this article. I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream looks horrifying. I must play it. Great article.

oh and shadow of the colossus should have been there
  • quiman12 - October 16, 2008 4:20 a.m.

COD4 deals with the realities of war and the possibilities of a nuclear holocaust. How did it miss this list? Madness I tell you. Simply madness.
  • SandroTheMaster - October 16, 2008 2:49 a.m.

Seriously: Look each of these is a secret project of Alpha Centauri with a typical remark from each of the 7 philosophical leaders: Lady Deirdre Skye, from Gaia's Stepdaughters Academician Prokhor Zakharov, from University of Planet Chairman Sheng-ji Yang, from the Human Hive Col. Corazon Santiago, from Spartan Federation Sister Miriam Godwinson, from The Lord's Believers Commissioner Pravin Lal, from Peacekeeping Forces CEO Nwabudike Morgan, from Morgan Industries And that's just a tip of what you'll hear and read in Alpha Centauri, no immature mind can grasp the essence of the discussion.

Despite the average fanbase, I'd defintely put the Halo campaign back in there. It's a clever adaptation of Noah's Ark and a great cautionary tale about religious fanaticism.
  • mfwahwah - October 16, 2008 1:53 a.m.

Didn't finish reading the article yet, but I noticed you failed to mention one part of Braid that should be mentioned. SPOILERS It's also about the Manhattan Project, which seems a bit mature imo. "southern tempt"
