The numbers are rolling in and Mafia II has emerged as the top-selling title last week in the UK. According to GfK Chart Track, Mafia II experienced the biggest UK game launch since the release of Red Dead Redemption.
Not surprisingly, the 360 version of the game was the most popular, accounting for 52% of total retail sales. The PS3 version accounted for 42%, but only 7% of the copies sold were the PC version.
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days dropped down to number two on the charts, followed by Toy Story 3, Red Dead Redemption, and Wii Sports Resort. High sales for Wii Sports Resort was attributed to a Wii console bundle, which came with a copy of the game.
