Best known for his work on the Silent Hill series and last year's Shadows of the Damned, Akira Yamaoka looks to be creating another memorable soundtrack in Grasshopper's upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw. This time, he has enlisted the help of lead singer Jimmy Urine from electro-punk band Mindless Self Indulgence to compose music for the crazy, over-the-top boss battles.

In this exclusive trailer you'll hear from both composers and see what inspired the sound that will accompany zombie-hunter Juliet Starling and her quest to end the infestation.

I didn't know till now Mr. Yamaoka was lending his talents to Grasshopper again. Or is he a member of the studio now? O.o either way it's always nice to have his tunes around. This track list seems pretty good, some lesser known bans with a good sound, Dragonforce I guess I can appreciate, Skrillex feels kinda... obligatory >.> But hey Yamaoka should dust off his turntables (he used to make some sick electro for Konami's music games) and collaborate with Skrill like everyone else!

I have new-found respect for Akira Yamaoka after this week's VGMpire. My already-huge anticipation for this game has just gone up.

Stop Reading Start Doing Pushups is by Destroy Rebuild Until God SHOWS Hence why their acronym is D.R.U.G.S SO STOKED FOR THIS GAME!
