If you weren't already aware, Lego has a line of construction sets themed after Marvel's iconic comic cast. So we don't really have to tell you that Lego Marvel Super Heroes will also be headed to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii U, Nintendo DS and 3DS, and PlayStation Vita courtesy of TT Games.
What we will tell you, however, is that it's planned for release in fall, and will cram in more than 100 characters from across the Marvel mythos including Iron Man, the Hulk, Spider-Man, Deadpool, and Wolverine.
“Fans of both LEGO and Marvel have wanted this game for years, and we’re addressing that demand with more Marvel Universe characters than ever in a console game,” Marvel VP of games production TQ Jefferson said in a press release (basically throwing down the gauntlet at Marvel vs. Capcom 2). “If you’re a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you.”
Lego Marvel Super Heroes will follow a new story in which Nick Fury calls upon a heaping helping of heroes to fight from New York to outer space against Loki, Galactus, and other baddies. Galactus himself, that old world devourer, will also be an unlockable character (we presume after significant shrinkage).
