League of Legends roundtable - Is Fiora worth buying?

Every few weeks, Riot Games launches a new champion for League of Legends, and the community immediately erupts into endless debate. Some will always think that anything new is overpowered, while others will complain that the new Champions need massive buffs in order to compete with the older ones that players have already mastered. We feel like ending that debate, one Champion at a time, and we'll be tackling every new champion alongside our good friends at PCGamer to help you decide whether or not the new Champions are worth buying.

This week, we take on Fiora Laurent, the Grand Duelist. How does she work? How does he compare to other fighters? Find out in the video above.

And be sure to leave us feedback as to things you want us to discuss or show off while we play these new characters - your opinion is valuable to us, and we want to make sure we give you the absolute best League of Legends coverage we can.

I learned last night that she is a great backdoor champion. She can take turrets very quickly, and can escape due to her high movement speed. Since she isn't the best in team fights, it can be a good idea to sometimes avoid them and go take enemy turrets while they are distracted. Overall though I really don't think she's that great of a champion, and like Master Yi, requires to be fed. If she DOES get fed though, it can take 3 or more champions to take her down. I haven't played as her personally, but this is just what I've seemed to notice playing with and against her.

I haven't played her yet, as she's a melee and I prefer ranged. However, the people I have played with say she isn't very good. Learning that she isn't good in team fights, I can see why one would say that.

I think she's quite fun to play. Fun move sets, killer ult but she does have drawbacks. She can be easily CC'ed and she doesn't have that easy escape move like Wukong's clone, Nautilus's anchor or Riven's broken wings, she needs something to dash to so if there's no minions around, you're kinda boned.

I've played against her plenty this whole week. She's definitely the new melee carry for the week (plus she's better to look at). I can't get into a game to play Yi/Trynd/Xin anymore. Her ult is what makes her the most annoying to fight against as a carry or assassin. Just when you think you caught her, her ult just makes her invulnerable and takes chunks of health off you. Its the annoying new Endless Rage.

She is still vunerable from aoe when she use her ult

Not from what I can tell. I was just about to kill one with a Riven ult and she just popped her ult and took no damage. If she can take aoe damage though, she's pretty likely to avoid it anyway because she's hopping all over the place.

The fact that Coop is able to make a series out of characters for an online game like this is baffling to me. But, like with Pokemon, it's kind of fascinating seeing how into these things people who are into these things can get, and you seem to get real thoughts going into the comments. Not for me, but interesting.

I personally haven't tried her out yet, but every time I see someone play her, he or she gets ridiculous kill/death/assist ratios. Also, I'm usually not interested in melee characters, but that parry ability does look pretty cool.

She is a really fun champion but very simple ( no skillshots and such ) I'd recommend her if you have extra IP/RP to spend and already have all your runes and all the rune pages you want
