Hitman HD: Trilogy out January 29

Agent 47 has been killing people for a while now. Square Enix wants players new and old to share in some of that homicidal history with Hitman HD: Trilogy, a collection of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts, and Hitman: Blood Money for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The HD-ified three-pack will hit stores January 29, 2013 for $40 in North America. No mention was made of a PC version, or the original Hitman: Codename 47, though the twelve-year-old classic would require a bit of polish so as not to blind modern gamers with its millennial visuals.

You could likely get all three for a bit less individually on PC, or just check out 47's new gig, but console gamers yet to be charmed by 47's taciturn ways may find the trilogy just what the assassination agency ordered.

really bugs me when they keep doing this with these collections... it's a busted collection if an integral game is missing! The MGS HD collection, missing the first one Hitman collection, missing the first one Silent Hill collection, missing the first one It doesn't have to be polished to the same degree - hell, just include it in it's original quality if there's no other way. Especially where there is an ongoing story, missing the first one is ridiculous. It's like watching the original Star Wars trilogy but missing A New Hope

I might try and pick it up eventually, although Zone of the Enders and Okami are higher on my priorities list for HD remakes at the minute. But yeah, I'm loving the Star Wars-themed art, it's brilliant

Since it isn't mentioned in the article, European fans will be pleased to know it is out on 1st of Febuary.

Great news! Played Hitman 2 and Contracts years ago but don't have them any more, would love to replay them in HD and finally get round to Blood Money so I'll definitely be getting this!

I can only hope and pray that's not the official cover art. Still, can't wait to get trophies for Silent Assassin rating on Professional difficulty. Bring it on, rediculously trigger-happy Hitman 2 guards... Attacking me just for "bending down slightly."

At least they're better than the guards on Absolution. The call in the army if you even look at the wrong door. At least in the other games the guards would just tell you to leave first.

Really? I think it looks pretty cool, it kind of has a Star Wars vibe to it which I like. Agreed on the guards though, they've always been ridiculous in Hitman games lol. I remember if you just spun round in circles (by just spinning the left analog stick really fast, it looked hilarious cause 47 literally spun in one spot without actually moving any of his body parts), either standing up or crouching, they'd get suspicious and then attack you.

Yes! Have them already but a HD collection is perfect enough for me to overcome the disappointment of Absolution.

I was pretty sad to find PS2 emulators still couldn't play my old copy of Blood Money, but not to the point I would buy it again on the PC. The HD trilogy though might tempt me, depending on the EU pricing of it.
