GTA V release date seemingly confirmed by retail. And it's soon. Ish

The rumours finally seem to be firming up

The GTA 5 release date saga has felt like the longest, most protracted period of guessing while pretending to have some sort of authority that video games have ever seen. But it seems that the rumours surrounding the fabled release date (or at least release window) are starting to firm up, with some probable visual confirmation from UK retail.

The GAME chain's Brighton branch today posted an image of several pieces of GTA V promotional art. Including the piece that appeared online a few days ago, the selection of promo materials all feature the words "Pre-order now" and "Spring 2013".

The tweet has since been deleted, so we can probably conclude two things from this occurence.

A) Now coming from retail, the teaser images are very probably genuine, and the GTA V release date is very probably is going to fall next spring.

B) Someone really wasn't supposed to post these images in Twitter and might now have been fired.

I'm less interested in the release date and more interested in whether they will finally implement a halfway decent combat system.
