Gotham City Impostors art doesn't take itself too seriously

After 24 hours, we finally have an image to go with what little we know of the FPS

Yesterday Warner Bros Interactive revealed its newest game, a downloadable FPS set in Batman’s Gotham City, developed by Monolith (FEAR, Condemned) titled Gotham City Impostors. The first details on the multiplayer-focused FPS were a lot to handle, especially coming to terms with the fact that you’d be playing as vigilantes inspired by Batman and Joker, instead of playing as those iconic characters. Perhaps that’s hard to picture with just a logo and a description, so Warner was nice enough to release the first art for the game:

It certainly looks interesting. Our first description of the game being influenced by Team Fortress 2 makes sense now, as most of the characters are stylized and a tad comical. Compared to the world of Arkham Asylum, these guys seem a little out there, but in a fun way. Also those accessories and items they’re carrying are probably just a taste of the customizable options open to you in character creation. When comparing the looks of both sides, personally we’ll side with the Bats for now, but now that you’ve seen them, which gang do you side with?

Lame, of all the DC properties they could have used that actually made sense (Checkmate, Suicide Squad, or heck you could even to WWII with Sgt. Rock)

This looks like it could be really good knock off of Team fortress, I am very excited to play this and when I do, I will probablly be one of the heavys or the class leaders, That lead batman is definitly hiding somthing

Def playin batman first,,, thats just obvious , then the joker , hot chix from both sides , guy carrying dynamite, odd job with a kilt and then the 2 big dudes which will most likely have 2 shots in a shotgun ,pap, paP... dead .,,, this game is gonna make my gain 100lbs if its anything like Lead and Gold in a batman universe. I think the dialougue of the characters will make the game!!!!

Looks like a class based shooter.. Im a guess this story involves batman helping the justice league or something and can't help gotham..

I want to say the same thing about this as I did about Banjo & Kazooie Nuts and Bolts: it looks like an alright game, but why would you waste the license on it??

The over the top ridiculous character designs kind of remind me of Timesplitters, and that is FAR from a bad thing.

Holy Bat Fortress! Give Bat-Boy some serious lumber to swing and it'll be like Todd McFarlane's Bat-Man parody from 'What The--?!' in game form and all will be right with Gotham on the process.
