I couldn't believe it when they announced that they were price-dropping L4D. Too bad I already bought it...

Thequestion 121, both Steam and Direct2drive have Beyond Good & Evil for $10.
  • kicking222 - March 18, 2009 11:44 p.m.

My best friend picked up "BG&E" literally the week after it came out for $20. That was a happy day for being cheap, but a sad day for good games.
  • SkinnyJr - March 18, 2009 11:47 p.m.

I REALLY liked Dark Sector. Imo, it was worth the $60. $9.99 is an absolute steal.
  • Peefree - March 19, 2009 12:18 a.m.

Oh man I wish I managed to get BG&E with some cheese. I went to buy it on Steam recently but it's 2000/XP only and I don't feel like digging out my PS2...
  • Ravenbom - March 19, 2009 12:27 a.m.

Not to mention Mirror's Edge and the new Prince of Persia which are both pretty cheap right now. I picked up Prince of Persia for $25 not too long ago...

I can attest to picking up Dark Sector pretty cheap. Found it sitting on the shelf at Best Buy whilst doing the after-holiday shopping last year for $17. Had it been more, I probably would have only ultimately rented the game to play through, but since I enjoyed the demo, $17 for a PS3 game was a steal. Mark of Kri is pure awesome (still haven't gotten around to the sequel). I remember that was one of the earlier PS2 games I got, picked up at a friggin' Toys R Us in the holiday season of 2001. Still have it to this day, and wish I could play it again; unfortunately, I don't have a working PS2 at the moment, and my PS3 doesn't play PS2 games...

so basically what is happening is that cheese is now more important than video games... great i wonder how much cheese madworld will cost
  • Unoriginal - March 19, 2009 12:06 p.m.

Everytime I hear about BG&E it's hitting new lows but free with string cheese? Really?
  • pimlicosound - March 19, 2009 12:09 p.m.

I got the new Prince of Persia for £17.99 from a week after is launched at £39.99. A WEEK!
  • Corsair89 - March 19, 2009 4:16 p.m.

  • sirjess - March 19, 2009 5:58 p.m.

I was over joyed when i got a copy of BG&E from those chese strings. I didnt even know untill I opened the pack at home1!!
  • Gsindahouse - March 19, 2009 8:39 p.m.

TheQuestion 121, trust me, when you FIND BG&E you should be happy You wouldn't have wasted a SECOND finding it, man that is a TIGHT GAME! (not to tease you) please ignore the string cheese thing, man cause that game is like your occasional TIGHT MOVIE that didn't produce any sequels And Chris Antista, you said something about a sequel to that? ooohhh... It's probably been five years, now, man! is there a sequel coming? Tell me now before my birthday, it's in Two months and i have nothing in mind
  • Lucretiel - March 19, 2009 10:32 p.m.

I was surprised to not see Half-Life 1... $0.99 for it's tenth birthday a little while back
  • Stuffgamer1 - March 20, 2009 12:19 a.m.

Beyond Good & a bag of string cheese. That's an INSULT to the game! On the other hand, it may help build the fanbase for the eventual success of the sequel. I hope.

I'm still waiting for L4D to go down to 30 bucks or so on the 360, since I can't play online. >< Yea, having the AI as backup is nice but you don't get the full experience. I still have not played BG&E and I even had a free copy when I was at school. I need to get that but I just bought like 4 games in the past week so trying to limit my intake, insert bender joke lol
