The long-awaited 13th episode of GamesRadar's Trailer Trash Theatre is finally here. If you're new to Trailer Trash, it's our webshow where we make fun of video game trailers so bad, they're good. After our last episode, we've had to go on a hiatus due to the transition to the new video player, and the launch of FarmVille Post. Now we're back full-force, with shinier cameras, a shinier video player, and shinier videogame trailers.

@Brett Yeah, I can believe that the numbers are dwindling each year. The popularity has peaked, no doubt, but it's the notion that the genre is dead that bugs me. They're just slow burners in terms of sales - they don't get massive week one sales, so people assume they've bombed. The same happened to DJ Hero last year; it had crap first week/month sales (especially compared to the huge success that GH3 was), but within 2-3 months it had capped 1 million sales. You said that GH5 had crap first month sales, but likewise it has sold well over 3.5 million copies worldwide. I agree that that's a lower than GHWT's sales, which were lower than GH3's, but it's far from poor. It's a genre whose popularity has peaked, but there's still a fairly sizeable audience, and their sales are anything but shit.

If only my stupid laptop worked! Dammit! Regardless, I'm incredibly overjoyed to see this return. TTT was always one of my favorite things, right after TalkRadar, so having it back in my life is like having a long lost child back into my life. Or something better. I'm bad with words when I'm excited.

@zigs I totally get your point, and the numbers RB3 pulls down are probably decent. But I'm talking about it year to year, and they're losing huge numbers every year. The last Guitar Hero sold under 100,000 in September, compared to 499,000 the same month in 2009. The comparison is even worse going back to 2008, 2007 and so on. It's dropping hard. Though by now they must be cheap to make, so maybe pushing 500-600,000 is all they really need?
