Friday Night Fights - Ezio vs. Agent 47

When a villain is loose, when war is imminent, when the very known galaxy is facing certain destruction *breathless pause*... it's totally inappropriate timing to have a popularity contest. But right now we've got peace, and with our 100 Best Heroes of All-Time rankings out, it's time to tease out--scientifically!--just who is better than whom.

Tale of the tape: This week, two assassins enter the ring, Hitman's Agent 47 and Assassin's Creed's Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Here's why they are two of the best

Agent 47 - To refer to Hitman’s Agent 47 as a hero would be a bit of a misnomer. He has been known, after all, to unceremoniously murder a man simply because his clothes were deemed desirable, and then also cram that man’s naked corpse into a armoire in an insane effort to cover his tracks. So there’s that. But as far as greatest characters go, may we remind you that Agent 47 shows absolutely no compunction in killing a man, stealing his clothes, and then shoving that guy’s cold, dead, naked corpse into an armoire? Pretty awesome.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze - We were with Ezio when his father and brothers were wrongfully hanged before his own eyes. We felt his rage when his family’s name was dragged through the mud, and he was forced to flee Florence with his mother and sisters in tow. Most importantly, we were there when he developed his undying sense of justice and matured into one of the greatest assassin’s the order had ever seen. No matter his mission, Ezio was always charming and willing to help those in need. He was a selfless man, one that put his life on the line time and time again to make sure evildoers were swiftly put down. The Italian Assassin may be retired, but we’ll never forget his journey or his sacrifice.

I got 47 giving Ezio a beating. Now I will say that 47 cant beat him hand-to-hand, but thats not how he usually operates. 47 is more silent and low key than Ezio. Ezio is used to going loud when he assassinates, to make a point, but 47 is a long distance type, that only goes close to mid range if he has to. Really it depends on the arena, if its a long range, 47 no brainer but if its close, then Ezio wins.

So 47's fiber wire is just for looks? I bet it's not like 47 can somehow obtain an assassins outfit use instinct to stay hidden I'm plain sight and see Through walls, find ezio and figure pit wjere he'll move next, then choke or poison ezio. I don't even think he's capable of doing that

im sorry, but u need to choose characters that at least can use the same tools i mean 47 uses guns mostly and ezio is all about melee takedowns, ezio doesnt know what guns are. If i had done this i would've put Agent 47 VS Solid Snake, they both have access to the same tools and they both choose how to proceed from there. P.S: u guys wrote ezio's name wrong in the voting box its: Ezio Auditore Da Firenze not Ezio Auditore da Frinenze like u guys have it.

Ezio doesn't know what guns are. He knows what HIDDEN guns are though.

    Ezio would find a way.

The question is who's the better assassin, not who would win in a fight. Of course Agent 47 would win if the two were to fight, he would just blow Ezio away. As far as assassins go, Ezio is the clear winner. He doesn't have the fancy tech or weapons the Agent has, yet he works fine with just his hidden blade. Plus, he can climb any building, so that has to count for something...

They're pretty different though. Ezio is an Assassin, not an "assassin," so he only needs to stay hidden until he's in a good position, then he runs out and stabs them in plain view. And sometimes he even yells his name before running away across the rooftops. Whereas 47 is not only about being undetected and creating "accidents," but tries to hide his entire existence.

Not really a fair matchup since Agent 47 has the advantage of modern technology, I mean if it was a sword fight Ezio would win, guns, Agent 47. Still, both are great Assassins but I still gotta go with Ezio.

How about fist fighting?, I'm with Ezio by the way

How in the hell would Ezio win? Seriously?
  • riccyrex - October 27, 2012 4:15 p.m.

lets find out how would win... 20ft... Hidden blade... Silverballers... Ready... Set... Die... You Italian bastard !!

My 2 Cents: Yes, Ezio's eagle vision can make blending almost useless (he needs to check 1 by 1, its not an omni-directional scanner) but lets say he spotted 47 in a crowd, maybe 47 is after he's target (business as usual) Than Ezio got him in 3 ways (unless he wants to go HtH) Knives / Gun / Hidden Blade whatever he wants, due to element of surprise... Sword in a modern world & in the public, not Ezio's style... Than Ezio will approach the body to close he's eyes Speaking "Requiescat in pace..." ***cough*** blood gushing out of Ezio's mouth... 47 has shot him from point blank range (no ancient armor can withstand...) Why is 47 still alive? Ezio never shoots the head 47 wears Kevlar for protection against modern bullets that no ancient bullet or knives being thrown can penetrate. Only chance "maybe" is if he uses the hidden blade... (let the kevlar experts argue about that) but 47 has brushes with death dozens of times, even if he does die due to bleeding, he'll be alive long enough to kill whoever is there stabbing him & closing he's eyes (possum) We've seen that happened to Ezio before in Revelations (Here we're dealing with Brotherhood Ezio who haven't experienced that yet) So they both end up dead bleeding to death Ezio definitely dead, 47 depends if he can patch up on time, or what... & Kevlar experts can discuss if the blade will even effect him much...

The article should point out if this comaprison is personal 1vs1 or showing who's the best when it comes to "Tolls of the Trade".in both ways there is no deny 47 will do better considering that he got more advanced weaponry, and I can't say that Ezio will have a privilege with his eagle eye as also 47 have it too in the next serie. what distinguish 47 is his awareness of any environmental hostility he's in. There is much to say of course about Ezio but none of that in my mind would give him a step forward. didn't you see how 47 survived the saints attack ? you can't just ignore that.
  • Agent 47 - October 28, 2012 12:51 a.m.

This website's description of Agent 47 is POORLY written compared to the one for Ezio. It makes no mention at all of his true origins and skills. How he is a genetically-engineered clone, born and raised in an asylum and trained all his life to be a cold-blooded murderer. They don't talk about how he escapes and is hired by a clandestine assassin agency, and how he kills his five genetic fathers/turned crime lords. How he single-handedly wipes out an entire army of his clone brothers. How he struggled with his morality for a period, and eventually accepted his fate as a bringer of death, a necessary evil in a messed up world. He is cold, calculating, emotionless, silent and professional, and for most of his career has shown no real regard for human life, no matter what race/age/gender, unless he is paid to. He is the PERFECT assassin. Too bad none of that was mentioned, it might have made some AC fanboys think twice before voting...whatever though, it's just some stupid popularity contest, theyre different games and mechanics ffs lol.
