Final trailer lands for Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes: watch now

The final trailer has arrived online for Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes , in which the breakdown between apes and humans is shown in all its heartbreaking detail.

The new trailer picks up ten years after the events of the first film, with Caesar leading a culture of apes living in peaceful harmony, undisturbed by the humans that have been decimated by simian flu.

However, there are still some human survivors remaining, and although Caesar attempts to keep things civil between both species, it isn't long before battle lines have been drawn once more.

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

Quite a lot of plot points disclosed in this latest trailer then, and some memorable moments as well - that ape / machinegun sequence is particularly menacing...

Directed by Matt Reeves and co-starring Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke and Gary Oldman, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes will open in the UK on 23 May 2014.
