Far Cry 2 Fortune’s Pack - review
New DLC brings bikes and bows, not much else
You get three new weapons, two new vehicles and five new multiplayer maps in Fortune’s Pack. The best news is that Far Cry 2’s famously explodey action sequences are now augmented by an explosive-launching crossbow that packs more of a punch than the in-game rocket launcher.
The new quad-bike also nicely complements the bumpy, gorgeous countryside. But while Far Cry 2’s user-generated maps are doing a good job propping the online game up, there’s no need for paid-for maps. A tad more thought on what the main game would benefit from, such as a new set of missions, would surely have resulted in better debut DLC.
