E3 2010: Video of Nintendo 3DS shows off sexy 3D rather effectively

The big thing at E3 this year is Nintendo's 3DS. And the big thing about the 3DS is that it does 3D. It's playable on the showfloor, which is great for those at E3, but kind of sucks for the rest of us. But do not despair.

This video from WiiNintendo.net gives a pretty good idea of how the 3D works and what it'll look like. The whole video's worth a watch, but I've taken the liberty of starting it at the optimum 3D moment. Have a looky:

Mmmmm. Sexy sexy 3D Mario Bros. We might not be able to appreciate any sticky-out third dimensional screen protrusions, but certainly the depth of field looks puh-ritt-ee sweet.

I really wish I'd been there. Playing 3DS. While it was chained to the warm, sweet-scented body of a woman.

    I don't pre order things, but I might order this. My DS phat is getting sort of old.

    Finally, a reason to upgrade my DS... I've not seen the point until now :D Oh, any news on the stylus size? Traditionally, they're about 10% larger than the previous version's one, right? And the most recent one was the DSi XL... So if the trend continues, the stylus will be at least as big as the 3DS?

    Interesting...I can see how he 3D will work and it looks like it works very well.. Consider me sold, as Clay S. Arsom once said. And if they've got the games to back it up (which they appear to have)...then I'll have to get a better job. Like that's gonna happen...

    @JohnMeadowcroft That's the joke.
  • Modroneman - June 18, 2010 7:23 p.m.

    Was that their intentions to have any camera capturing video of womens breasts right above each and every 3DS? Or am I just a perv?
  • kompressorlogik - June 18, 2010 6:15 p.m.

    I don't think this was head tracking. It looked like they were just shifting the perspective with the analog stick thing that I won't call by its Nintendo-ized name. Also, @tuomotaivainen, there is no camera angle at which you could perceive a 3d display in 3d. Just won't happen.

    The name is misleading, why aren't there 3 dual screens? What a rip-off.
