Duke Nukem Forever delayed until June, we call shenanigans

Gearbox Software has delayed Duke Nukem Forever by over a month. Typical, right? A little too typical, we suspect. After all, delaying the most delayed game in all of gamedom is almost too much of a coincidence. And after watching the studio's tongue-in-cheek delay announcement video (complete with its own delay slogan and props, no less), we're guessing this is one Duke push-back that was planned all along.

It's possible this is a genuine delay, in which case this is hilariously ironic and Gearbox is just really adept at damage control. It's also possible I completely misused the word ironic, but hey, when in Rome...

The new launch date (for those who skipped the video) is June 14th for North America and June 10th internationally.

Why did they switch the North America and International dates? First the North American came first but with the June dates it's the other order.

I love Gearbox and all but I'm waiting on the reviews. I'm expecting it to be good but not great. Probably a lot of 8/10 scores.

@Misterscaryface Actually, now that you mention it, May 3rd was going to be the Tuesday of Finals Week at... Well, at my University, at least. Screw that. DNFw: Duke Nukem Finals week. No, thank you! Summer is perfect for releases. Also, I'm finding it harder and harder to read the reCaptcha words. Eventually not even humans will be able to post, I'm afraid.

I wonder if the release has anything to do with almost every kid that will play the game being out of school for summer. Seems like a good time to release a game if you ask me. Summer of Duke for sure. And yeah, I bet this setback was planned. Delays are months, not 6 weeks.

Yeah does seem wierd and why is it that international ships first over NA. The previous date NA got it 3 days before everyone but June 14 is flag day seems very wierd thought. If this is no joke I will wake up in the morning and punch the first person I see out of rage.
