DragonForce finally coming to Rock Band next week

Shares

If the existing hundreds of tracks in Rock Band haven't melted your fingers yet, the inhuman guitar playing of DragonForce is finally on its way to the heralded music game. Two DragonForce tracks will be available for your purchasing pleasure as part of next week's update.

Through the Fire and Flames and Operation Ground and Pound will be the inaugural RB entries for the power metal band. Each will cost the standard ~$2 price. And, if you really want to up your game, Through the Fire and Flames is also available as a Pro Guitar/Bass song for an extra 99 cents. Buyer beware.

Then, not to be overshadowed, Santana and Jefferson Airplane are also releasing new tracks in the next update, with Somebody to Love and Black Magic Woman making their debuts. Blood, Sweat & Tears's Spinning Wheel rounds out the list. Black Magic Woman will also feature a 'Pro' version.

All these tracks, excluding the Pro DLC, will also be bundled together for around $5.50. You'd better start practicing.

If there was any reason to making both the purchase of RB3 and at least ONE new guitar (not pro version, not touching that at all) worth it then THIS just ads icing onto the juicy cake. Now if only life didn't get in the way and run off with my money like a little 4-year old kid on a sugar high. T.T

I like Dragonforce, but why not something different? I mean, Disciples of Babylon has an awesome guitar solo, and Heroes of Our Time the same. Or bring Knights of Cydonia onto RB already, I'm still waiting >.<

...the inhuman being the 5 notes they play with varying distortion so it sounds like 60?

Spiffy. Been a while since I bought any new tracks for Rock Band, might have to get me some Dragonforce insanity...

I'm a little disappointed in Harmonix for their decision... They've always been about a more authentic music experience than Activision, and yet they're going ahead and (almost) copying GH. Dragonforce is a terrible bunch of musicians who play all their songs at half speed and raise the tempo in a computer to sound more exciting. If you've ever seen them live, they make all sorts of mistakes and play really sloppily. At least they're not releasing a whole album or anything.

meh, I couldn't care less about studioforce. The day they put Wintersun in Rock Band is the day I buy another rock band game.
