The direction of DQX disappoints me. Good thing we still have Tales of Graces coming to PS3 next year, for a TRUE JRPG experience in HD.

Really loved IX, even with a party of nobodies, so if they can capture some of that magic then sign me up. Not sure I wouldn't rather have this be a game on a handheld, but I'm willing to wait and see.

I'm bummed that it'll be another romp with user-created characters, because we can always use another Yangus. However, I think it will still be a lot of fun, and I hope the Wii U graphics are something similar to the pre-rendered stuff we saw in the trailer, but if it's going parallel to the Wii, that's not gonna happen. At least it looks better than DQVII's pre rendered cutscenes of eye-gouging painfulness, highlighting the most trivial events. If it's a Wii U launch title, that's a pretty big incentive for me to get a Wii U, to be honest! Shame that Level-5 isn't involved, but fantastic news that Rocket Slime 3D is on the way!

Looking forward to this since it's been announced for the Wii U. I'd prefer 3DS but a proper console game (Wii doesn't count) is awesome. Now I just need to wait for Dragon Quest IX to arrive from Amazon :/

Why... Another series down the tube...
