Download of the Week: Super Meat Boy

Platform: PC | Publisher: Steam | Developer: Team Meat | Price: £5.99/$7.49 | Size: 300MB required

For a game that started life as a flash game, Super Meat Boy has certainly done well to become one of *the* games of 2010. In equal measure it will have you squealing with delight at its exceptional platforming prowess and the next trying to bite your keyboard in half. It's also one of the most entertaining games you'll have played for a while, which is why it's our choice for Download of the Week.

If you need further convincing of it's quality then read our review, which goes into great detail about why Super Meat Boy is, erm, super. Also, it's the perfect time to get involved at this low, low price because Super Meat World - a freeware package that allows you to create your own Super Meat Boy levels - is available to create your own stages and share them with others across the interwebs.

Already have it for Xbox, almost beat it, but still want it for PC

Played the demo a while ago on my 360 and hated dying all the time. Haha then read Henry's review and listened to him talk about it on Talkradar and it all made sense. I went back to the game and it's one of my all time favs now. It's cool we 360 folks get a few free dlc levels as in teh internets but I sure wouldn't mind the PC's version with Super Meat World's plethora of levels.

I really wish there had been a demo out for this, because I would have gladly paid $10 or whatever when it first came out. Instead I picked it up for $3.75-ish during Steam's holiday sales and it has been faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan-fucking-tastic.

I wish Super Meat Boy would come to PSN so I could play it
