Nippon Ichi Software has just announced that Disgaea 4 for the PlayStation 3 will be coming to North America. The turn-based grind-fest is tentatively scheduled to release in the summer of 2011. You can get an early peak at some screenshots and an interesting piece of character art with a special surprise for Prinny fans.
Disgaea 4 will be using a brand new graphics engine. According to Nippon Ichi Software, the engine will emphasize the anime-style visuals the series is known for. Not surprisingly, new battle system features are also in the works.
If you’re a Disgaea fan, you’re already familiar with Prinnies, the dirt poor penguin-like henchmen who explode like bombs when thrown. Look closely at the piece of character art to the right, you’ll see a female character dressed in a Prinny suit.
The Disgaea series has always been famous for its off-the-wall sense of humor, over-the-top battles, and lots and lots of grinding. Level-up lovers of the series can expect more news on Disgaea 4 as its release date draws nearer, which you’ll be sure to find here at GamesRadar.
