Dead Rising DLC

DLC has been a joke from day 1. My personal favorite was the Bad Company 2 DLC that unlocked all the weapons and attachments you would otherwise have to earn by playing the game. They were actually allowing players to pay extra to have their game shortened.

Again, at least you could go about getting all that stuff without buying the DLC if you'd prefer (which is absolutely my preference), so I never felt "burned" by that DLC. I think the worse culprits are those that withhold content from a game, content that by all counts should have been in the game in the first place, this instance of cheats being especially moronic. Some people just don't feel like spending the time to earn unlockables in a game, and I guess I'm OK with them paying to move things along. It certainly doesn't mean that they'll be as good as a player who got there on skill. I say it's ultimately their loss and the developer's gain, so let 'em pay. But something like this - cheats, of all things - that I think definitely qualifies as "content that I would have expected to be in the game in the first place".

Hey, I think it's pretty funny. 400's a bit steep, and it would ruin the game a bit, but It Still looks like it's all in good humour

Capcom, you're making all the wrong decisions.

DLC is quickly becoming a byword (or by-sentence) for 'whatever we can make people buy'. Cheats ruin games. Like pets win prizes.
