Cyborg joins Infinite Crisis roster, but Shazam is still cooler

SHAZAM!

SHAZAM!

We played Infinite Crisis back when it was revealed at GDC, and not much has changed since then. It still pits teams of five in MOBA battles, merging together the infinite universes that make up the DC mythos. Being able to duel Nightmare Batman (a giant, evil vampire bat) against Gaslight Batman (a steampunk-flavored vigilante) is a dream come true for fans of DCs universe(s), and works perfectly within the confines of the MOBA formula.

We recently had a chance to play it again, and went on a rampage as Shazam--even though we were against Cyborg, the newly added hero that the developers admitted was in desperate need of a nerfing.

Shazam is a bruiser with a focus on melee. He has a dash, a static field, and the ability to imbue his fists with the power of electricity. His ultimate attack shouldnt come as a surprise to DC fans: he screams SHAZAM! and a bolt of lightning strikes down from the heavens. This came in handy when Cyborg showed up, blasting a barrage of beams in our direction like he owned the place. We took him down without too much of a problem, though, because even an overpowered hero is no match for our hundreds of hours spent playing League of Legends. Turbine is ramping up towards closed beta for Infinite Crisis, so you can head over to the official website and sign up. We cant imagine the release is too far away, though--what we played felt super polished, and were eager to go in for more.
