GAME MENUS ============================================================================ The main menu screen looks somewhat like this: ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| ___________________ | ( Items ) | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ | ___________________ | ( Equipment ) | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ | ___________________ | ( Abilities ) | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ | ___________________ | ( Status ) | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ______________________________________ | ___________________ | | Sora | Donald | Goofy | | ( Journal ) |¯¯¯|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ |LV | 30 | 27 | 32 | | ___________________ |HP | 45/45 | 32/32 | 48/48 | | ( Config ) |MP | 6/6 | 5/5 | 3/3 | | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ |___|________|__________|______________| | | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Munny: 74445 | Time: ????? | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ The config menu: ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Auto Lock On Off | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Target Lock Auto Manual | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Camera Auto Manual | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Vibration On Off | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Sound Stereo Mono | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Difficulty Normal Expert | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ============================================================================ III. GAME BASICS ============================================================================ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- i. BASIC CONTROLS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- D-Pad.................................Move menu cursor Left Analog Stick.....................Move character Circle................................Jump Square................................Use certain abilities X.....................................Confirm / Talk L1....................................Open magic shortcut menu L1+X/L1+Square/L1+Triangle............Cast assigned magic R1....................................Engage target lock L2....................................Switch between targets while locked on R2....................................Change camera angle Select................................Switch to first person view Start.................................Open main menu / Pause L1+L2+R1+R2+Select+Start..............Soft Reset ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ii. SPECIAL COMMANDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Normally, the battle menu on the lower left corner of your screen consists of only the Attack, Magic and Item commands along with a ? in the 4th box. But whenever you see a field icon (?) above Sora's head, it means that a special command is available. So now, there will be a 4th option in the battle menu. The commands are usually "Examine" for anything that has to do with advancing in the game, but with the exception of locked treasure chests. "Open" if you're standing in front of a treasure chest. The other one is "Lift" for barrels and crates. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- iii. BATTLE SYSTEM ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battles in Kingdom Hearts are in real-time. So if the battle menu at lower left corner of your screen turns RED it means that there's an enemy around. During battles it is recommended that you press R1 to lock on to your target. It's easier to hit an enemy that way. Now if you do press R1, you'll see the words "LOCK ON!" at the upper left corner of your screen. To release the target lock, press R1 again. You can also switch between targets while locked on by pressing L2. Whenever you kill enemies they drop multi-colored balls. The GREEN ones restore HP, the TRANSPARENT ones restore MP, and the GOLD ones are "munny". Remember that you can't open the main menu during battle, so in order to use items you need to equip them. You'll be allowed to use summons later in the game. The summon command is in the magic sub menu. Now, in order to use a summon you need to lock on to your target and all 3 of your characters MUST be alive. Note that your summon will disappear once it runs out of MP, or you can also dismiss it if you want. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- iv. LEVELING UP ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just like other RPGs, you gain levels. You gain experience points either by defeating an enemy, including bosses or successfully parrying blows from them. Blocking an opponent's attack requires good timing, that is, attacking just before a blow from an opponent hits you. It's quite difficult to master, but once you do, it can be very rewarding. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- v. ABILITIES ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- You gain abilities through leveling up, receive it from somebody during story events, or after defeating bosses. Now to use an ability, choose ABILITIES from the main menu, and choose the ability you wish to equip. Remember that equipping abilities require a specific amount of AP. Most abilities are automatically used when equipped, but some require pressing the SQUARE button in order to be used when necessary, like Dodge Roll for example. You can also REMOVE abilities if you feel like you don't need them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- vi. CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can also customize your characters by choosing the CUSTOMIZE option in the main menu. For Sora, you can designate shortcut buttons to magics. Let's say for example, you assigned TRIANGLE to Fire. To use that, hold down L1 then press TRIANGLE. You can also do the same with the X and Square buttons. As for Donald and Goofy, you have several customization options to choose from. Here's a list of all the options and their descriptions. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Manual Create your own fighting style | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Personal Reflects character's own unique style | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Balanced Good balance of offense and defense | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Conservative Focuses on conserving MP and items | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Defensive Focuses on recovery and defense | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| Offensive Focuses on attacking | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ I recommend using Manual mode since you can customize your characters into exactly how you want them to be. But you can also reconfigure the other modes if you want. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- vii. SAVE POINTS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you open the save menu, you'll see the following options: SAVE, PARTY, GUMMI SHIP and MENU. The gummi ship option becomes available after you get the ship. Also, stepping on save points automatically restores your HP and MP to full. Remember to release the target lock if it's enabled, since you can't save if it's on. ============================================================================ IV. Kerchak worries that Tarzan's contact with people will bring danger to the gorilla community. Kala ----- The gorilla who found Tarzan in the jungle. Jump on each one to examine them. You'll have to pick 2 and give up 1. Now, make sure you decide properly here, as what you choose affects the order in which Sora will learn his abilities later on; not to mention his basic stats. The following table summarizes your character stats at level 1 and level 100 based on which attribute you strengthen (+) and weaken (-): -----+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+---------+ Stat | +Swd -Stf | +Swd -Shd | +Stf -Swd | +Stf -Shd | +Shd -Swd |+Shd -Stf| HP | 18 --> 84 | 18 --> 84 | 18 --> 84 | 18 --> 84 | 18 --> 84 |18 --> 84| MP | 2 --> 8 | 2 --> 8 | 3 --> 10 | 3 --> 10 | 2 --> 8 | 2 --> 8| AP | 1 --> 37 | 3 --> 39 | 3 --> 39 | 3 --> 39 | 3 --> 39 | 1 --> 37| STR | 6 --> 57 | 6 --> 57 | 3 --> 54 | 5 --> 56 | 4 --> 55 | 5 --> 56| DEF | 2 --> 52 | 1 --> 51 | 3 --> 53 | 1 --> 51 | 4 --> 54 | 4 --> 54| #ITM | 3 --> 7 | 3 --> 7 | 3 --> 6 | 3 --> 6 | 3 --> 8 | 3 --> 8| #ACC | 2 --> 3 | 2 --> 3 | 2 --> 3 | 2 --> 3 | 2 --> 3 | 2 --> 3| -----+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+---------+ Also remember that the sword gives you early access to attack-related abilities, the shield to defensive/support abilities and the wand to magic- related abilities. The choice is yours. This part is actually just a tutorial on game basics, so just follow whatever instructions you're given. After that you'll find yourself at Destiny Island. Here, just talk to Selphie, Wakka and Tidus. Each one of them will ask you a question so, again you have to choose. This affects your level up speed. Here are the choices: DAWN (Quicker than Average Level Gains at Lower Levels, Slower than Average Level Gains at Higher Levels) -------------------------------------------------------------+ Tidus | Wakka | Selphie | ------------------+--------------------+---------------------| Getting Old | Broaden Horizons | Number One | Getting Old | Rare Sights | Number One | Getting Old | Rare Sights | Friendship | Getting Old | Rare Sights | Prize Possessions | Getting Old | Be Strong | Number One | Being Different | Rare Sights | Number One | Being Indecisive | Rare Sights | Number One | -------------------------------------------------------------+ MIDDAY (Average Speed of Level Gain at All Levels) -------------------------------------------------------------+ Tidus | Wakka | Selphie | ------------------+--------------------+---------------------| Getting Old | Broaden Horizons | Friendship | Getting Old | Broaden Horizons | Prize Possessions | Getting Old | Be Strong | Friendship | Being Different | Rare Sights | Friendship | Being Different | Broaden Horizons | Number One | Being Different | Broaden Horizons | Friendship | Being Different | Broaden Horizons | Prize Possessions | Being Different | Be Strong | Number One | Being Different | Be Strong | Friendship | Being Indecisive | Rare Sights | Friendship | Being Indecisive | Broaden Horizons | Number One | Being Indecisice | Broaden Horizons | Friendship | -------------------------------------------------------------+ DUSK (Slower than Average Level Gain at Lower Levels, Quicker than Average Level Gain at Higher Levels) -------------------------------------------------------------+ Tidus | Wakka | Selphie | ------------------+--------------------+---------------------| Getting Old | Be Strong | Prize Possessions | Being Different | Rare Sights | Prize Possessions | Being Different | Be Strong | Prize Possessions | Being Indecisive | Rare Sights | Prize Possessions | Being Indecisive | Broaden Horizons | Prize Possessions | Being Indecisive | Be Strong | Number One | Being Indecisive | Be Strong | Friendship | Being Indecisive | Be Strong | Prize Possessions | -------------------------------------------------------------+ You'll have some more tutorials on basics here. You'll then encounter your first save point, save and take the new path up. In the next area just walk a bit forward and you'll fight Darkside. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BATTLE: DARKSIDE =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 18p He's pretty easy. Just lock on to his hand and start smashing away. He'll also release some Heartless, make sure you kill some of them as they leave HP balls. Use these to heal if you get damaged. The battle will be over soon enough. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ############################################################################ ############################################################################ DESTINY ISLAND ############################################################################ Sora will wake from his dream. There will be a long cut-scene between Sora, Kairi and Riku about their hometowns and the raft they were building. When you regain control, talk to Kairi. She'll ask you to gather the materials needed to build the raft. Here's what you need: 2 LOGS, 1 CLOTH, 1 ROPE. Now go a bit south then west and into the Seaside Shack. There's a save point here, so save if you want. Go upstairs to the bridge. In the next area go across the bridge and pick up the log at the other side. You'll also see Riku sitting on the tree (lazy bum!) Jump back down and go a little bit east from the shack to find the second log. As for the cloth, from the dock (where Selphie is sitting) go up the plank and head east then north. Go up the stairs. From there, go east to the end of the path and go up the ladder. Follow the path until you reach a room. Get the cloth inside (it's on the right wall) Finally the rope. Go back to the plank at the pier and this time head a bit north and up the ladder to the left. Follow the path to the end and get the rope. Also, it's worth challenging Tidus, Selphie, Wakka or Riku to a duel for level up. It doesn't really matter if you lose to them, but anyway here are some tips for each battle: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- TIDUS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- He's practically easy to beat, just stay close and keep smacking him. But be sure to watch your back though since he'll surely attempt to attack you from behind after you finish a combo. One more thing, whenever you're successful in blocking his blows, you'll see the words: "Tech 2p" on your screen which also counts as experience points. So be sure to try and block when you get the chance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- WAKKA ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Be sure to keep an eye on his blitz ball and run around a lot in order to dodge it. But remember that you can bat his ball back to him if you get the timing right. If you're lucky, it'll hit and stun him, giving you ample time to try and beat him down into a pulp. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- SELPHIE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- She's no doubt the easiest of the 3. Her attacks are really weak compared to those of Tidus and Wakka. There's actually no need for a strategy here since you'll beat her fairly easily. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- TIDUS, WAKKA, SELPHIE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a 3-on-1 battle, therefore it's tough. Talk to Tidus after you've beaten each one of them at least once to unlock this option. Now I suggest that you beat Tidus first, then Wakka. Always save Selphie for last as she's not that much of a threat. You'll receive a Potion if you win. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- RIKU ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This can be tough, but it's really worth it to fight him again and again as you'll receive 5p, (which is a lot at this point) and a Potion every time you win. But you CAN'T afford to fall off the side (you'll lose if you do) Just stay close and attack him. Once he falls on his back, get away from him to avoid being kicked when he gets back up. When he's on the defensive stance, simply attack him from the side or from above the head. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// According to thebakersandmoore2, you can find a Protect Chain in this area. Here's where you can find it: Right by the tower, you will find a crate. Pick it up, and walk past the tower towards the hole you see -- you can't quite reach the lip. Now toss the crate below the hole. Jump on the crate, and use the height to jump to the lip of the cave. Climb in, and open the chest. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// When you're ready, save your game and go talk to Kairi. She'll give you a Hi Potion. After that, tell her you wanna go home. Watch some long cut-scenes. Once you regain control again, proceed to the Cove (where Kairi was standing a while back) There, talk to Riku. You'll decide on a name for the raft (default is Excalibur), but Riku wants to name it Highwind. So you'll have to race with him. Your goal here is to activate the star at the end of the course and return to the where Kairi is. If you lose, you just don't get to name the raft Excalibur. That's all, no big deal. When that's over jump down and talk to Kairi who is standing on the raft by the shore. She'll tell you to find food for your journey. Here's what you need: SEAGULL EGG, 3 MUSHROOMS, 2 COCONUTS, 3 FISHES and DRINKING WATER. - Seagull Egg: Go to the Bridge and climb the tree with a thin trunk. You should see the egg on the tree behind you. Jump up there to get it. - 3 Mushrooms: There's a rock to the east of the raft. Push it to get a mushroom at the back. There's one under the watchtower. The last one is in the "Secret Place", go up the plank behind Wakka and go east. Head inside and take the mushroom. There will be a short cut-scene between Ansem and Sora. - Drinking Water: Go to the pond beside Wakka and fill up the empty bottle there. - 3 Fishes: Swim along the area not far from the dock where Selphie is standing to find the 3 fishes. - 2 Coconuts: Just smash the tree trunks until you get 2 YELLOW coconuts to fall. Go to the shack and save your game. Talk to Kairi and tell her that you wanna go home. There will be some cut-scenes between Sora and Kairi, then you'll see Mickey's letter to Donald telling him to go to Traverse Town with Goofy and find "Leon" as he'll be the one to show them where the "key" is. When you regain control, the island will be infested with Heartless. Head for the Seaside Shack and save your game. Go upstairs to the Bridge and you'll see Riku there. After a short cut-scene, you'll receive the Keyblade. Proceed to the Secret Place, there'll be another cut-scene, then you'll fight Darkside again. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BATTLE: DARKSIDE =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 60p This battle is pretty much the same as the first, except for the fact that he has more HP. So just lock on and attack. Again, he'll release some Heartless so kill them for those HP balls. Feel free to use your potions too, but this is usually unnecessary. You shouldn't have any problem winning. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After the battle, Sora will end up in.... ############################################################################ ############################################################################ TRAVERSE TOWN ############################################################################ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ability gotten in this area: Dodge Roll Magic gotten in this area: Fire Trinity gotten in this area: Blue Trinity (Trinity Jump) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you regain control after the short cut-scene, proceed to the accessory shop and you'll meet Cid there. Jump on the cabinet for a chest with a Mythril Shard. Leave the shop afterwards and head east up the stairs to the Second District. The town will also be infested with Heartless, just fight your way through. Feel free to explore a bit to familiarize yourself with the area. Once you're done, go back to the accessory shop at the First District and save your game. Leave the shop. You'll meet Leon here. There'll be a short cut-scene between him and Sora about the keyblade. You'll have to fight him after that. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BATTLE: LEON (SQUALL) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 30p Avoid his trigger attacks at all costs, it's real deadly. He'll also shoot fire spells at you, but that shouldn't be a problem. I found him most vulnerable after he does a combo. Now when you get close enough, try pushing him back into a corner with your own combo attacks. Once you've done that, just stay close and smash away to prevent him from striking back. You'll win after a while. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Note: It won't be game over even if you lose to him. You just don't get any experience points which you need, along with a slightly different cut-scene. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Watch a long and interesting cut-scene. When you regain control at the hotel room, jump onto the table and examine the treasure chest. (it'll be locked) Now talk to Yuffie and she'll tell you that the keyblade can open locked doors and treasure chests, so examine the chest again to get the Elixir inside. Save your game and talk to Leon. Tell him you're ready. There will be another cut-scene where the Heartless attack the town. (as if they hadn't already) You'll regain control at the alleyway. After giving a not so useful advice, Leon will leave you to fend for yourself. Here, go south then north at the corner for a chest with a Potion. Head back to the 2nd District afterwards. The 3rd District is your next destination, but feel free to go back to the 1st District if you need to stock up on items. I suggest that you go save at the accessory shop too. Be sure to talk to Aerith there for a Mega- Potion. At the 3rd District, you'll see a short cut-scene. Donald and Goofy will Join now. Just defeat all the Heartless here and a massive piece of junk Will appear out of nowhere. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: GUARD ARMOR =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 110p Equipment Dropped: Brave Warrior This one has a lot of parts, therefore make sure that you focus on only one target at a time. The feet are the easiest ones to hit so get rid of them first. Once they're gone go for the hands then the body. Watch out for its devastating spinning attack though. Killing each part yields HP balls which helps quite a bit. Don't worry too much about healing -- let Donald or Goofy do that for you. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After the battle, there'll be some long cut-scenes. Then you'll be back at the 1st District where Aerith, Leon and Yuffie will give you 100 munny plus an Elixir. (if you managed to beat Leon). Donald and Goofy will teach you the Fire magic and Dodge Roll ability respectively. Proceed to the accessory shop to get the Blue Trinity. Go back to the Hotel. You can now access the Red Room, get in there for a chest with a Pretty Stone. Now proceed to the Green Room and hit the clock located above the door to this times: 12:00, 6:00, 7:00. This will reveal a chest with a Mythril. Once done, go through the door that leads to the Alleyway. Here just go east to the end for another Pretty Stone, then west for a Potion. Lastly, go to the 3rd District and use Fire magic on the door with a flame marking on it to access the Magician's Study, where you'll meet Merlin and the Fairy Godmother. You can also activate Blue Trinity marks if you wish. When you're ready, leave the town through the World Exit. You'll have some tutorials about the Gummi Ship. You can now go to 3 new areas, which you can tackle in any order. But let's start with.... ############################################################################ ############################################################################ WONDERLAND ############################################################################ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Magic gotten in this area: Blizzard ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- There will be a short cut-scene with the White Rabbit when you arrive. Once you regain control follow him to the next area. Here, push the bed first then talk to the door knob. He'll tell you to drink the potion on the table to get smaller, so drink it and proceed to the Queen's Castle. You'll see another cut-scene where Alice is on trial for allegedly trying to steal the queen's heart. Sora then claims that Alice is innocent, so the queen will ask you to gather evidence and prove it. When you regain control, go through the left entrance to the Lotus Forest. After the short dialogue with the Cheshire Cat, go north then east past the second red flower. You'll find a Blue Trinity mark and the "Footprints" evidence here. Next jump on the mushrooms, then across the trees/platforms to find a high exit to the Bizzare Room. Get in there to find the "Stench" evidence. Make your way back to the Lotus Forest after that. From the entrance go north and jump on the boulder, then onto the platform for the "Antenna" evidence. Jump on the mushroom that leads north for a chest with a Thunder-G, then onto the mushrooms leading east up the trees for a chest with puppies 16-18. Go back to Queen's Castle afterwards. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Note: There's a total of 4 evidences. So far I only managed to find 3. You're supposed to get the Blizzard magic if you can find all 4, but it's ok even if you didn't since you'll still receive the magic from the Cheshire Cat after beating Trickmaster. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- According to Jared Schuster [honaccord@hotmail.com] here's where you can find the 4th evidence: Go in to the Bizarre room through the entrance that lands you on the faucet. Face towards into the center of the room. Carefully turn and jump to the right. It is on the ledge you will see the pink gift box. (That's the "Claw Marks" evidence.) Here's a more detailed description of where to find the 4th evidence, as contributed by Jason Gray [jason_gray@yahoo.com]: To get the fourth evidence you first need to find the yellow flower. If you examine it it will ask for a potion. Once you give it the potion, it will make you (not Donald and Goofy) big. Then if you turn around you will see a stump. Go and jump on it and it will shrink into the ground and a green leaf stand thingy will pop up next to it. Then look for the fruit piece that you may have seen earlier on top of the tree and cut it down to eat it to become small again. The when you are small again, go north then your first east turn. Jump onto the small mushrooms then the left stand thingies and head south. That extra platform should allow you to now get to the platform in the corner. From this platform you should be able to go to the Bizarre Room. Then off to the right you will see the fourth box on the ledge. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Save your game first then talk to a heart card soldier to present the evidences. The queen refuses to check each evidence and instead asks you to pick one. This one's completely random, so you'll just have to take chances and hope you get the right one. Regardless of what you picked, the queen will order her card soldiers to seize you. Your target here is not the soldiers but their tower. Just knock the cards that are closest to you out, so that they won't bother you while you destroy their tower. After the battle, everyone will notice that Alice is gone. There's nothing else to do here so go back to the Lotus Forest. Inside, you'll see the Cheshire Cat again. When you regain control, give the yellow flower a Potion to grow big and move the boulder. This will make a few platforms appear. Move around until you see a "?" then take the fruit and eat it to get small again. Jump on the new platforms to get to the other side. You'll find another Blue Trinity mark and an exit to Queen's Castle. Take that exit for a chest with an Aero-G. Go back to the forest and proceed to the Tea Party Garden. Be sure to sit on the chairs here for some presents. Go to the inverted Bizzare Room after that. Inside there will be another short dialogue with the cat. Just jump onto the tables and light the two lamps. Also, remember to release the lock up north to reveal another exit to the Queen's Castle. Use that one to get a chest with puppies 13-15. Proceed to the normal Bizzare Room, but save your game first. Once there, prepare for a boss fight. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: TRICKMASTER =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 150p Equipment Dropped: Ifrit's Horn This battle isn't as tough as it looks. Simply hit him with magic when he is standing and use physical attacks once he bends down. He'll try to slap you away with his arms most of the time, so just keep your distance when he does that. Also, he will start shooting flames at you after a while, be sure to watch out for that too. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After the battle, there'll be a cut-scene in which the door knob complains about having been awakened by all the "ruckus", then you'll get the Navi-G Piece. You'll also receive the Blizzard magic from the Cheshire Cat. (if you didn't get all 4 evidence pieces) ############################################################################ //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Note: It's a good idea to go back to Traverse Town and open the treasure chest at the cafe. First destroy all the chairs, then put out all the candles with your Blizzard magic to get a Defense Up item from the chest. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ############################################################################ OLYMPUS COLISEUM ############################################################################ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ability gotten in this area: Sonic Blade Magic gotten in this area: Thunder ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are 2 Blue Trinity marks here that you can activate immediately for some treasures. (the one to the right has puppies 22-24) Also, try putting out the flames on all the torches with your Blizzard magic (if you have enough MP) to reveal a chest with an Orihalcum. Check behind the pillars too for a Mega-Potion. Proceed to the Lobby afterwards. Talk to Phil and he'll ask you to move the huge block. Push it until the phrase "it weighs a ton" appears then talk to Phil again. There'll be a cut-scene where Phil refuses to believe that Sora is a hero, while Donald and Goofy tries to convince him otherwise. Eventually, Phil decides to train you. You'll have to break all the barrels within the given time limit. 20 barrels within 30 seconds in the first round and 25 barrels within 1 minute in the second round. You'll receive the Thunder magic after that. He still won't let you enter the games so go outside. You'll see a short cut-scene with Hades and he'll give you the "Entry Pass". Go back inside and show it to Phil. You can now enter the preliminaries. Make sure your characters are stocked with Potions and Ethers before you enter the tournament since you won't be given the chance to restock on items. There'll be 7 matches to fight here. After the 5th battle you'll see a cut-scene between Cloud and Hades. You'll then fight your 6th battle followed by Cloud. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BATTLE: CLOUD =-=-===-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 80p He's really fast and his attacks are powerful, therefore this is going to be a tough battle. But thankfully winning isn't necessary. Now Dodge Roll to avoid his dash attacks while trying get close to him at the same time. Once you're close enough keep attacking him from the side or better yet head on. Doing this will make him concentrate on blocking your blows rather than attack you. Be sure to move around a lot though to dodge his plunge attack. You'll win eventually. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After the battle, Cerberus will show up and so will Hercules. When you get back to the Lobby, restock on items and SAVE your game then go back to the arena. It's also a good idea to customize your partners so that they don't do physical attacks often. (this will prevent them from trying to smack Cerberus silly and end up dying.) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: CERBERUS =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 200p Equipment Dropped: Inferno Band Never ever attempt to attack him head on; I'd bet you're suicidal if you did. Instead stay on the side and lock on to any head then attack. You can also try to jump on his back to get on top of him and start smashing. Avoid getting bitten at all cost as you definitely wouldn't want to see how much damage it can do. Watch out for his fire balls as well. When he starts releasing black stuffs after you, just Dodge Roll or jump to avoid it. Be sure to keep your partners alive if you can so that they can help with healing when you need it. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After the battle, there will be a cut-scene and you'll receive the Hero License. Outside talk to Cloud for another cut-scene. You'll receive the Sonic Blade ability afterwards. ############################################################################ ############################################################################ DEEP JUNGLE ############################################################################ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Magic gotten in this area: Cure Trinity gotten in this area: Red Trinity (Trinity Charge) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The moment you arrive, Sora immediately realizes that he's alone, with Donald and Goofy missing. Once you regain control, you'll be fighting a leopard, which should be easy enough. After the battle, you'll have to watch some long cut-scenes -- the first one between Tarzan and Sora, the other between Donald and Goofy. You are now allowed to have Tarzan in your party. Just drop off the side of the tree house when you regain control. In the next area, jump on the platforms to your right for a Mega-Ether. There's also a save point here, so save if you like. Drop off the hole to your left to the next area. Avoid the branches here by jumping past them, you'll be at the Camp after that. Go into the Tent for a cut-scene, where Sora finally meets up with his two companions. Save your game and open the chest here for a Mythril Shard. Talk to Jane and she'll ask you to find the slides, exit the Tent to begin your search. Outside, activate the Blue Trinity mark located near the exit that leads to Hippo's Lagoon to get puppies 34-36. Here are the locations of all the slides: Slide 1: Find it on top of the Tent you exited from. Slide 2: Go left from the Tent and find it on a file cabinet at the end. Slide 3: Find it in front of the painting canvas. Slide 4: Jump on the stack of boxes north of the Tent to get it. Slide 5: Find it on top of the brown tent. Walk to the end. Slide 6: Climb the set of boxes at the right side of the Tent. Once you're done, go back inside the Tent and examine the projector to view the slides. There'll be a cut-scene, where Clayton asks Tarzan to take him to the gorillas. Leave the Tent and go south to the Bamboo Thicket. In the next area keep going north until you reach the Cliffs. Here, jump on the rocks to your right, climb the vines and go left for 2 chests with a Mythril Shard and a Mega-Potion. Head back to Camp and this time take the west exit to Hippo's Lagoon. There's a vine to your left that leads to the next area, but don't climb it yet, instead jump on the pink platform on the water and go north. There's a chest at the end with puppies 25-27. Go back and climb the vine to the next area. There's another save point here. Just swing through the vines until you reach Vines 2. You can go up the vine immediately to proceed to the next area, but be sure to jump on the vines here to get a chest with puppies 28-30. Here, proceed to the Tree House, activate the Blue Trinity mark first to get puppies 31-33. Go in. After the cut-scene, head back to Camp and into the Tent for another cut-scene. Leave the Tent, and you'll be fighting your first batch of Power Wilds. Basically, what you have to do is: rid every area of Heartless. You'll receive items from the gorillas every time you clear an area. -------------------------------------------+ Area Cleared: Item Received: | -------------------------------------------| Camp Protect-G | Bamboo Thicket Fire-G | Cliff Aeroga-G | Climbing Trees Aeroga-G | Tree House Shell-G | -------------------------------------------+ Once you've cleared each area, go back to Camp and talk to Jane. (Don't forget to save) Proceed to the Bamboo Thicket and after a short cut-scene, you'll have to fight Sabor. This one's easy -- attack it and roll out of the way once it charges at you. You'll receive 150p and a White Fang accessory when it's over. There'll be a cut-scene. When you regain control, head back to Camp and Jane will be missing. Save your game and proceed to the Tree House. Don't bother trying to kill all the Heartless here, since they'll just keep coming. Your target is the black thing, just attack it several times. Head back to Camp and save your game. Proceed to the Cliff. After a short cutscene, you'll fight Clayton. Just smack him around a bit and he'll summon Stealth Sneak after a while. This is when the real battle begins. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: CLAYTON & STEALTH SNEAK =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 240p This battle isn't that hard. If you have a decent amount of MP try hitting Stealth Sneak with whatever magic you have, but be sure to move in for some close combat as well. Keep in mind that Clayton will also be shooting you with his rifle, so roll away when you see him aim. Once Stealth Sneak's HP is down to the green bar, Clayton will fall off. This time concentrate on Clayton, don't bother with his chameleon. Just dodge whenever he fires his rifle, and attack him with all you got. You should win even if his pal's healing him. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After the battle there'll be a cut-scene and you'll also learn Cure. When you regain control, go into the cave. Your only way here is up, so climb while opening treasure chests with a Mythril Shard, Shell-G, Mythril and Orihalcum along the way, until you reach another cave labeled "???". Go inside for a cut-scene and you'll get a Navi-G Piece. After that, you'll see another cut-scene, this time between Jafar and Maleficent. Then you'll get the Jungle King keyblade from Tarzan. ############################################################################ Go back to Traverse Town on your Gummi Ship.... //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Traverse Town 2 --------------- When you arrive, go to the Alleyway at the Second District and activate the Red Trinity mark in the water to access the Secret Waterway. There, go north first to get the chest with puppies 10-12. Talk to Leon twice and he'll give you the Earthshine summon gem. Aerith will suggest that you go show the Navi -G piece to Cid. Go back to the First District and talk to Cid. He'll install the Navigation Gummi and also give you the Old Book. Head for the Magician's Study and give the book to Merlin. You'll also get the Simba summon from the Fairy Godmother. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Note: From this point onwards, you'll be allowed to access 100 Acre Wood by examining the book. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Go back to the Third District for a cut-scene with Riku, then proceed to the Small House afterwards. Here talk to Cid again, and there'll be a short cut-scene between Riku and Maleficent. You'll get the Warp-G from Cid after that. Aerith and Yuffie will also mention something about the bell behind the Gizmo Shop. Now go into the Gizmo Shop and exit through the north door. Climb the ladder up and you'll see a Red Trinity mark -- activate it. Pull the rope 3 times to reveal a keyhole. Go back to the Accessory Shop and save your game. There will be a short cut-scene when you arrive, followed by a boss fight. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: URSULA =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 1000p This battle is absolutely annoying. Not only will Ursula spin all over the place like there's no tomorrow, but her lackeys will also be there to bug you as well. So don't bother with close-range combat. Well... not until you stun her. Cast magic on her cauldron. If the liquid from the cauldron hits her, your screen will flash. This will not only damage her, but will also leave her stunned. But thankfully, she's a whole lot easier. Just swim to the back of her head and start smashing. When she says something like: "Now I'm angry!", that means she's about to use her mouth and suck you in. So use Mermaid Kick to get away. You can also use magic on her if you want to, but I suggest you reserve your MP for healing instead. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After a short dialogue between Triton and Sora, you'll get the Thundara upgrade and the Ansem Report 3. Go back to Ariel's Grotto for a cut-scene where Sora seals the keyhole. You'll receive the Crabclaw key chain from Ariel afterwards. Light it with your fire magic. Next go up the long pole and examine the structure that is sticking out of it. You'll be taken to a new area so go to the far left and light the platform. Cross the bridge and there will be a long cut-scene. In this new area walk up the bridge and examine the door. Once inside there will be a red trinity mark and a treasure chest containing an Ether. Light the lantern in that room. Jump on the platform. Your only way here is up, so keep going until you find the Playroom. Here you'll find Lock, Shock and Barrel and they'll fight you. There isn't much strategy in this battle so just beat them up. Try talking to one of them and they'll accidentally tell you about the lever. So examine the machine on the side to find it. There's also a save point here. Save before leaving. It's time to find the "green door". Just fall off the ledge and try landing on the grayish-black path to find the Torture Chamber. Go in. You'll see a cut-scene where Boogie swallows the heart and attempts to summon some Heartless. You'll fight him after that. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: OOGIE BOOGIE =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 2500p Equipment/Item Dropped: Holy Circlet/Ansem Report 7 There is no way you'll be able to reach him by just jumping so don't bother. Let your partners handle the Heartless he had summoned. Make sure you keep the target lock on Boogie all the time so that you'll know where he is. Now when the small panels around the platform starts glowing, step on the one that is located directly across from where he is. This will make a portion of the platform rise to Boogie's level giving you the opportunity to hit him. He'll push you off after a while, so just wait for the panels to glow again. He will also drop some explosive dice at you, so make sure you keep an eye on that. Watch out for the spinning blades too as those can be pretty deadly. This can no doubt be an annoying battle so just keep your cool and you'll win eventually. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Tip: You can deflect the non-explosive dice (the smaller ones), that Oogie Boogie throws at you. You'll receive 27 Tech Points for each successful attempt. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// The battle isn't over yet. Oogie Boogie has now grown to an enormous size. I strongly recommend that you go back to the Guillotine Gate and save before you fight. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: GIANT OOGIE BOOGIE =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 2500p You have to find and destroy all 7 orbs. Here, talk to Kairi and examine the mural on the wall to get the other Navi-Gummi. Go back to Kairi for a long cut-scene. You'll receive the Oathkeeper keyblade afterwards. Head back to the 1st District and talk to Cid again. He'll install the Navigation Gummis for you. Also, don't forget to take the Fireglow gem to the Fairy Godmother for the Mushu summon. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Now you must go back to Hallow Bastion using the new warp hole. When you land at Hallow Bastion there will be a cut-scene. Go to the entrance of the Castle and activate the white trinity to get a Firaga-G. Make sure your party includes Beast. Go back to the Grand Hall. First go up the stairs and there will be a cut-scene. Walk up to the keyhole to be taken to the Dark Depths. There will be a boss fight =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BATTLE: BEHEMOTH =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 16,000p Equipment Dropped: Omega Arts This battle is pretty easy. Just jump on his back, lock on the head and attack. Once his horn begins to gather energy, that means he's about to unleash a somewhat devastating lightning attack, so get away from him to avoid it. Cast Aero on yourself and heal when necessary... that's about it. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After the battle, there'll be a short dialogue between Sora and the princesses. You'll also get the Firaga upgrade. Now all that's left is the End of the World, so feel free to finish whatever side quest that needs completing. Also, don't forget to go back to the Library in Hollow Bastion and talk to Aerith for the Ansem Reports 2, 4, 6, 10, then to Belle for the Divine Rose keyblade. Be sure to go back to the Grand Hall as well for the Oblivion key chain and puppies 61-63. When you're ready, ride your Gummi Ship to the final area. ############################################################################ ############################################################################ END OF THE WORLD ############################################################################ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ability gotten in this area: Superglide ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you regain control after the short cut-scene, keep going forward while picking up treasures along the way. You'll eventually reach a cave with a save point. Save your game and continue on until you reach the end where you need to battle a Behemoth. You'll be taken to the next area when you win. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Note: Here are the contents of all the treasure chests in the area: Power Up(x2), Defense Up(x2), Megalixir, Omega Arts, Angel Bangle, Three Stars, Dark Ring. Remember that you have to fight a group of Heartless in order to get certain treasures, while you can open others without having to fight anything. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Here just drop down to the end, and climb the vine to your left to get to a platform with a save point. Save your game and jump into the glowing portal. In this area, just go through the portals -- these take you to the worlds that you visited all throughout the game. Each area contains a treasure. Here's the list: ---------------------------------------------------------+ World Treasure | ---------------------------------------------------------| Traverse Town Brave Warrior | Wonderland Ifrit's Horn | Olympus Coliseum Inferno Band | Deep Jungle White Fang | Agrabah Ray of Light | Atlantica AP-Up | Halloween Town Holy Circlet | Neverland Raven's Claw | 100 Acre Wood Megalixir | ---------------------------------------------------------+ When you reach 100 Acre Wood, save your game and leave the area. Outside go through the portals once more, and you'll be taken to a new room. In this area, there's a treasure chest somewhere near you. (I forgot what's in it.) Now go into the next room and open the treasure chest for a Megalixir. Examine the panel up ahead for some info. Defeat all the Heartless that appear and leave the place. Outside, jump into the whirlpool for a boss fight. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: WINGED DEMON =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 15,000p This battle shouldn't be too hard. Cast Aero on yourself first then fly in and attack. Having an accessory that reduces fire damage helps too. He'll start using a devastating flame attack at you after a while, so just fly away from him when this happens. Keep your HP high at all times, and you'll win eventually. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After the battle, you'll get the shared ability Superglide. Go inside the volcano and fly all the way down to the bottom. Go through the white portal. Do the same in the next 3 screens. You'll be in a huge open area, where you have to fight a Behemoth. After the battle, go through the heart-like thing. Here, open the treasure chest for a Megalixir. You'll also encounter your FINAL save point. Make all the necessary preparations, such as having nothing but Elixirs in your item inventory. Once you're ready, save your game and go through the door. You'll be back to Destiny Island. Here, go to the Secret Place for a short cut-scene. When you regain control, go to where Riku is standing, and there'll be another cut-scene with Ansem. He'll fight you after that. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: ANSEM =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 10,000p I entered this fight at level 45 in my first game, and believe me he's extremely hard. On my second game, I fought him at level 75 and he became really easy. Anyway I strongly recommend that you have both the MP Rage and MP Haste abilities here, since it's going to make things a little less complicated for you. Also make sure that your partners have a decent supply of Ethers with them, just in case you run out of MP. Now cast Aero on yourself as soon as the battle begins. (Recast the magic immediately once it wears off.) Ansem will be flying all over the place, thus making it really difficult to hit him. But luckily he does stop and take a break from all the flying. When this happens, Superglide towards him and hit him with all you got. When he uses his guardian to block, move to the side or the back and attack from there. Another thing... once he says "submit", get away from him immediately to avoid being grabbed by his guardian. You really wouldn't want to be caught, because in addition to the damage, the guardian will follow you around and Freeze you in place. Just keep a close eye on him and heal when necessary. He should fall after a while. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After the battle, you'll be given a chance to restock on items. So make any necessary preparations, since you'll be fighting the next succeeding battles ALONE. When you're ready, follow Ansem to where he went. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: DARKSIDE =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 8000p This guy just doesn't give up does he? Anyway, cast Aero on yourself first then attack. He'll start releasing Heartless after some time. Be sure to kill some of them for the HP balls, since you would want to preserve your MP for later. When black heat-seeking stuffs begin falling from the sky, just Dodge Roll to avoid them. The battle will be over soon enough. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- You'll have to fight Ansem again, as soon as the previous battle is over. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: ANSEM =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 20,000p This battle will be a lot more difficult than the first, since you're all alone. Cast Aero on yourself as soon as the battle begins. Also he has a new charge attack, but other than that everything else is the same. The strategy for the first battle still works here too. When you hear him say "Take this!", use Superglide and hold the [] button to stay aloft until he stops. Feel free to use an Elixir or two, but not all! This will no doubt be a long and tough battle, so don't get frustrated and you should win. You can also stop his charge attack by parrying him, right before he hits you. You'll also get 199 Tech Points for every successful attempt. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- You think the battle's over? Well... the answer is no, NOT YET! That's why I told you not to use all your Elixirs. After a short cutscene, you'll have to fight Ansem. (again!) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: ANSEM =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: ???? You finally get to fly again. Cast Aero on yourself first, then fly in and start smacking him. Don't hesitate to use either Ars Arcanum or Strike Raid on him too. Try to avoid the lasers as much as you can, since those can inflict more damage on you than Ansem himself does. He'll also blow you away pretty often, so just fly in again when this happens. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- When it's over, destroy all the laser-shooting things located below him. Once they're gone, go near the Ansem and go through the multi-colored portal -- the Portal of Darkness. You'll meet Goofy in here. Fight off all the Heartless, and destroy the target at the other end to be taken to the next area. You'll have to fight another monster. Just attack the eyes, and once it's defeated go through the mouth. Now Donald's in here. Fight off all the Heartless, and collect those MP balls to refill your MP. Destroy the target at the other side to get out. Here, just fly into the mid-section and destroy the heart. It's time to get rid of Ansem once and for all. Just use the same strategy you did before, and now that you have your companions back with you, the battle shouldn't be that hard. ############################################################################ Hey you've beaten the game! Congratulations! Now just sit back and watch the wonderful ending. ============================================================================ VI. SIDE QUESTS ============================================================================ ############################################################################ i. SECRET ENDING ############################################################################ In order to see the hidden ending, (actually it's more like a teaser than anything else) you need to have the following when you finish the game: - Rescue all 99 Dalmatians - Lock all keyholes... including 100 Acre Wood. - Complete Hades Cup //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Reminder: You MUST collect all your prizes from the Dalmatian's House, since the secret ending will not appear if you didn't! //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE CREDITS TO SEE IT! I'm not going to reveal anything about it here. You just have to see it for yourself. ############################################################################ ii. 100 ACRE WOOD ############################################################################ Upon arriving, head for the Empty Meadow for a cut-scene with Pooh, who believes that his friends had all gone away while he was napping. After the cut-scene, go back to the world map. =-=-=-=-=-=-= Pooh's House =-=-=-=-=-=-= Go inside the house. Here, you'll see a cut-scene of Pooh being out of honey. When you regain control, go north and examine the cabinet for an Elixir. After that go outside and you'll meet Owl, and he'll tell you about the missing pages. Now leave the house and go west. Jump on the roof, then hit the pipe with your keyblade. You should hear a sound. Go back inside the house to get a Mega Ether. There's nothing else to do here, so go back to the world map. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Pooh's Hunny Tree =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= You'll see Piglet here, but he'll be scared of you and run away. Now you have to play catch with him. Basically, you just have to sneak up from behind and talk to him. Now there'll be a cut-scene where Piglet gives Pooh a balloon. After that, talk to Pooh and you'll have to play the "Pooh's Hunny Hunt" minigame. What you have to do is: swat the bees away from Pooh, so that he'll be able to collect as much honey as possible. Just follow him up the tree and if you fall, use the "Rush" special command immediately to catch up with him. When that's over, return to the world map and the torn page will turn into the Naturespark summon gem. (Give it to the Fairy Godmother for the Bambi summon.) =-=-=-=-=-=-=- Rabbit's House =-=-=-=-=-=-=- Here, go around to the back of the house for a short dialogue with Piglet and Pooh. Now go into the house. Inside, examine the pot on the ceiling to find some honey. Pooh will start eating after that. Go outside and try to leave. Piglet will come and ask you to help Pooh, so go back into the house. You'll notice that Pooh got stuck. Leave the house and go around the back and talk to Pooh. Tigger will suddenly come bouncing on Rabbit's carrot patch, and since you need carrot juice to free Pooh, you also have to stop Tigger from destroying the patch. You'll get to play the "Block Tigger" minigame. Your goal here is to prevent Tigger from bouncing on a carrot twice, or else it'll be buried. Once done go back inside the house and push Pooh out. Go back to the world map and the torn page will turn into a Mythril Shard. =-=-=-=-=-=- Pooh's Swing =-=-=-=-=-=- When you arrive you'll see Eeyore floating downstream, and he'll ask Pooh to help him get out of the water. When you regain control, go into the water and swim towards Eeyore. Once you're back on the bank, Eeyore will notice that his tail is missing. You'll have to find it for him. Now lock on to Pooh with R1 and lead him to the swing. Once there, you'll have to play the "Pooh's Swing" minigame. Here just press R1 as soon as Owl opens his wings, and if you get it right Pooh will find Eeyore's tail. Go back to the world map and you'll get the Stopra upgrade. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Note: Go back to Pooh's House after completing the Swing area. You'll see Pooh sitting there, shivering. Talk to him and he'll tell you that he's cold from all the swinging. Now you should notice a burned out camp fire there... use Fire magic on it then talk to Pooh again. He'll give you a Mythril. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Tigger's Bouncing Spot =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- In this area talk to Tigger and he'll teach you how to bounce. You'll get to play the "Tigger Bounce" minigame. Here, you'll have to memorize which tree stumps Tigger jumps onto and copy it for 3 rounds. The first 2 should be a breeze, while the 3rd one can get really frustrating. When it's over, Tigger and Roo will applaud your skill in bouncing. Talk to Roo and you'll have to play another minigame -- the Tigger's Giant Pot. What you have to do here is hit all 20 nuts back towards the pot, to break it. (Remember that you can't afford to fall off the tree stump you're standing on. You'll have to start over if you do.) When you're done, go to the place where the pot once was, and jump into the stump for a chest with an AP Up. You can also find nuts for Owl and get some items in return if you want to. Go back to the world map and the torn page will turn into a Mythril. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Pooh's Muddy Path =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This is the final area. When you arrive, you'll see Pooh looking for all his friends, claiming that some "bad people" took them. So now you'll have to help Pooh find his friends. Simply lock on to Pooh with R1 and lead him to where his friends are. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Note: I don't believe it's necessary to bring Pooh over to where his friends are, since they'll automatically go back to Eeyore's spot when you find them. But remember that Piglet is an exception to this rule. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Eeyore - Examine the bushes to your right to find him. (Now all of Pooh's friends will return to this spot when you find them.) Roo - He's bouncing on the branch of a tree to your left. Simply jump and attack the branch to make Roo fall down. Talk to him and he'll go back to the bushes with Eeyore. Rabbit - Go north and you should see a well that's blowing air. Behind it are 3 holes and Rabbit is hiding in one of them. Talk to him once he comes out to get him back to Eeyore's place. Tigger - Use the "air well" and blow yourself up the log. Talk to Tigger here to get him back. Owl - Now go back down and lead Pooh towards the flowers to the left of the well. This will take him up. Lead him across the log and to the flowers. Talk to Owl and he'll go back. Piglet - Not far from where Owl was, is a tree with a hole, and Piglet is hiding in it. You have to lead Pooh to him in order to make him go back. Now lead Pooh across the log. But there's a hole on that log, so you'll have to seal it. Use the first-person view, look up and you should see a beehive. Jump and hit with your keyblade. Now lead Pooh across the log. Piglet will go back, but will get scared and hide in one of the holes near the well. Take Pooh back down and lead him to where Piglet is. Piglet will now join the others in Eeyore's "hiding place". The torn page will turn into an Orihalcum. There will also be some long cut-scenes with Pooh and co. afterwards. That's it! Your quest in 100 Acre Wood is over. ############################################################################ iii. SPECIAL BOSSES ############################################################################ These are bosses that appear only after you complete Hollow Bastion. They can be a real pain, but thankfully they're optional. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: PHANTOM =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 9999 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Neverland Clock Tower. Have Peter Pan in your party and talk to Tinker Bell at the Ship Cabin. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This battle is hard. I suggest that you have Donald in your party and not Goofy, since Peter Pan is a mandatory member. Phantom will immediately cast Doom on Peter when the battle begins. (The countdown starts at 12 and when it reaches 0, the character dies with no chance of resurrection.) Now to freeze the counter, cast Stop on the clock. Be sure to do this as often as you can to prevent Phantom from ever using Doom again. Your target here is the heart, which changes color whenever you hit it with the corresponding magic. YELLOW for THUNDER; BLUE for BLIZZARD; RED for FIRE & WHITE for PHYSICAL ATTACKS. The colors indicate his vunerability. Be sure to time your attacks properly since he flies around pretty fast When you see him stop in front of the clock, that means he's about to unleash a heat-seeking purple stuff at you which takes away a lot of HP, so avoid it at all cost. You'll receive the final upgrade for Stop (Stopga) if you win. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BOSS: KURT ZISA =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Experience Points: 20,000p ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Agrabah Desert. Go to Aladdin's House and talk to the carpet. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Before you enter this battle, Sora must have both the MP Haste and MP Rage abilities... along with Strike Raid or Ars Arcanum. It also helps if you have a Ribbon accessory equipped, since it reduces both fire and dark damages by 20%. As for your items, bring some Ethers and Hi-Potions. Once the battle begins, immediately summon Tinker Bell, since Kurt will seal away all your magic on his very first turn. Now your target here is the orbs in his arms. When you try to attack his orbs, he'll start flailing his arms around wildly. This will make the orbs pretty hard to hit. The best thing to do here is wait until you find a large enough opening to land a complete combo on the orbs. Also, don't worry too much about your HP -- let Tink take care of that. Now when you destroy the orbs in both his hands, you'll be able to use magic again... in addition to that, he'll also break down and be helpless for a while. So move in and attack the head with all you got. Don't hesitate to unleash any of your special attacks on him. But watch out for neck though, since it can still do some damage. Once he stands up, he'll immediately cast a barrier on himself. This will block all sorts of physical attacks, so don't bother trying. Instead keep casting Thunder magic on him to destroy his shield. When fire balls start appearing around the place, just keep running to lower the possibility of getting hit. Also, when you see a sandstorm form around you, Dodge Roll away to avoid it. When you destroy his barrier, Kurt will break down again. Just repeat the entire process until you defeat him. One more thing... don't forget to cast Aero on yourself whenever you can. ############################################################################ iv. OLYMPUS COLISEUM CUPS ############################################################################ Winning each tournament as a team (that is with Donald and Goofy) will unlock the "Sora Only" option. Likewise, winning each one alone unlocks the "Time Attack" option in which you have to win the tournament within the given time limit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - PHIL CUP - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The first and the easiest of 4 cups. You'll have to fight 9 battles in order to finish this. Get the Gravity spell here too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle #: Team Name: Enemies: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9th Seed Jungle Vice Power Wild(x4); Soldier(x3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8th Seed Monkey & Magic Power Wild(x1); Green Requeim(x2); Red Nocturne(x2); Yellow Opera(x5) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7th Seed Big Feet Hammerlegs(x1); Power Wild(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6th Seed Magic Alert Red Nocturne(x5); Yellow Opera(x5) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5th Seed Nightwalkers Power Wild(x5); Large Body(x1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4th Seed Hard Hitters Gauntlet(x1); Blue Rhapsody(x3); Shadow(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3rd Seed Indomitable Large Body(x2); Green Requeim(x6) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd Seed Wild Corps Gauntlet(x1); Hammerlegs(x1); Power Wild(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Seed Shadow Battalion Armored Torso(x1); Yellow Opera(x4); Blue Rhapsody(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - PEGASUS CUP - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are also 9 battles to win here. You'll get the Strike Raid ability for Sora as well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle #: Team Name: Enemies: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9th Seed Ghost Bandits Search Ghost(x2); Bandit(x1); Air Soldier(x3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8th Seed Marauders Bandit(x2); Barrel Spider(x3); Shadow(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7th Seed Sluggers Fat Bandit(x1); Large Body(x2); Pot Spider(x1); Barrel Spider(x1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6th Seed Pots & Bolts Pot Spider(x5); Yellow Opera(x3); Green Requeim(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5th Seed Big Combo Fat Bandit(x2); Search Ghost(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4th Seed Toadstool Black Fungus(x3) Tip: Cast Gravity magic to kill them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3rd Seed Pots & Barrels Pot Spider(x5); Barrel Spider(x5) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd Seed Giant Impact Fat Bandit(x3); Large Body(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Seed Leon; Yuffie This can be tough. Make sure that your partners are fully stocked with Potions and Ethers here. Get rid of Yuffie first since she can heal both of them. You can also freeze her with Stop, but only for a few seconds. The same rule appiles for Leon -- avoid his trigger attacks. Fire magic works well on him, so use it whenever possible. Now when his gunblade starts glowing, be very careful, you definitely wouldn't want it to hit you. This is a long battle so be patient. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - HERCULES CUP - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just like the two previous tournaments, this also has 9 battles. You'll receive the Yellow Trinity (Trinity Push) and the Olympia key chain for Sora. (if you win) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle #: Team Name: Enemies: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9th Seed Dusk Vanguard Gargoyle(x5); Shadow(x3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8th Seed Minions of Horror Wight Knight(x4); Air Pirate(x1); Barrel Spider(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7th Seed Buccaneers Battle Ship(x1); Pirate(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6th Seed Stray Phantom Gargoyle(x4); Wight Knight(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5th Seed Mad Truffle Rare Truffle(x1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4th Seed Cloud This is a hard fight. Make sure your partners are properly stocked and that Sora has Cure in his magic shortcut menu. Now cast Aero on yourself as soon as the battle begins. Avoid his dash attacks with Glide or Dodge Roll. I found him most vulnerable from above the head and in front, so you have the biggest chance of being able to chain your combos if you attack from there. He'll start flying around at some point, so just stay away from him until he lands, then you may attack again. It's always a good idea to heal yourself rather than wait for your partners to do the job. You'll receive the Metal Chocobo key chain if you win. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3rd Seed Dark Squadron Wight Knight(x1); Gargoyle(x2); Pirate(x2); Air Pirate(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd Seed Flying Pirates Battle Ship(x2); Pirate(x2); Air Pirate(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Seed Hercules You're alone here, but that's ok since he's not that hard. Simply throw barrels at him when he's glowing. This will make him dizzy for a while (it's best to do this when he's taunting) giving you a chance to attack him. He'll remain vulnerable for some time after he gets back to normal, so you can still hurt him then. He hits pretty hard though so make sure that you have Aero on. You'll receive the Herc's Shield if you win. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - HADES CUP - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is where it gets tough... you have to fight 49 battles. But fortunately you don't have to start from the very beginning if you lose. Having the MP Haste and MP Rage abilities here should help a lot. Make sure to have a good stock of Potions/Hi-Potions and Ethers in your item inventory before you begin. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle #: Team Name: Enemies: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 49th Seed Shadow Brothers Soldier(x3); Shadow(x7) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 48th Seed Wild Dance Wight Knight(x3); Power Wild(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 47th Seed Terrible Feet Hammerlegs(x1); Pirate(x4); Shadow(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 46th Seed Dirty Claws Power Wild(x1); Pot Spider(x8) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 45th Seed Mad Truffle Rare Truffle(x1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 44th Seed Yuffie She shouldn't be so hard. The only thing you have to watch out for is the large shuriken that she throws at you, since you can deflect the smaller ones if you get the timing right. Now with that in mind just cast Aero on yourself and attack. You'll receive the Genji Sheild if you win. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 43rd Seed Outlaws Bandit(x3); Pirate(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 42nd Seed Dark Garrison Defender(x1); Wight Knight(x3); Soldier(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 41st Seed Bad Union Bandit(x1); Power Wild(x2); Large Body(x1); Fat Bandit(x1); Soldier(x1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 40th Seed Behemoth Cast Aero on yourself first then make your way on top of him by climbing on his back and attack from there. When his horn begins to gather energy, he's about to unleash a lightning attack so watch out for that. Simply heal once you take serious damage and you shouldn't have that much of a problem beating him. You'll also get the Blizzaga upgrade if you win. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 39th Seed Red Legion Search Ghost(x1); Red Nocturne(x8) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 38th Seed Blue Legion Blue Rhapsody(x7); Gargoyle(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 37th Seed Sorcerous Armor Guard Armor(x1); Blue Rhapsody(x2); Red Nocturne(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 36th Seed Mad Fungus Black Fungus(x1); Green Requiem(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 35th Seed Spiders & Magic Red Nocturne(x3); Yellow Opera(x3); Pot Spider(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 34th Seed Optical Trick Stealth Sneak(x1); Blue Rhapsody(x2); Green Requiem(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 33rd Seed Magic Force Wizard(x1); Red Nocturne(x2); Yellow Opera(x3); Blue Rhapsody(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 32nd Seed Shadow Summoners Wizard(x3); Shadow(x6) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 31st Seed Mystic Mages Angel Star(x1); Wizard(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 30th Seed Cerberus Geez! It's him again. Having an armor that reduces fire damage really helps here. Try to get on top of him as much as possible and attack from there. Otherwise, just get to the side and attack the head that's closest to the ground. Thankfully you have Aero or even Aerora now so his bite shouldn't be as deadly as before, but still watch out. Avoid his fire balls and jump or Dodge Roll from the black stuff. Just heal whenever you take serious damage and you'll be fine. You'll receive the Thundaga upgrade if you win. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 29th Seed Sky Raiders Air Soldier(x4); Air Pirate(x3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 28th Seed Spookies Search Ghost(x6) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 27th Seed Terrible Fists Gauntlet(x1); Gargoyle(x5) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 26th Seed Shadow Storm Shadow(x?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 25th Seed Avengers Bandit(x1); Wight Knight(x1); Pirate (x1); Soldier(x1); Power Wild(x1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 24th Seed Dark Knights Opposite Armor(x1); Darkball(x6) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23rd Seed Black Flap Gargoyle(x2); Air Soldier(x3); Air Pirate(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22nd Seed Night Soarers Wyvern(x3); Search Ghost(x2); Wight Knight(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21st Seed Air Coarsairs Battleship(x1); Wyvern(x2); Darkball (x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20th Seed Cloud; Leon Argh! Who the heck decided to put these two together in one battle? Anyway, Cloud has the lesser HP of the 2 (one and a half bars), while Leon has 3 bars. Make sure you focus on only one target at a time. Now cast Aero on yourself and get rid of Cloud first -- attack him head on as much as possible, Glide or Dodge Roll from his dash attack. Run around and Dodge Roll a lot when he starts flying around. Always keep an eye on Leon though. As for Leon, the same rule still applies -- avoid his trigger attacks, his glowing gunblade, and his fire spells. Dogde Roll towards him and attack when you get close enough. You'll receive the Lionheart key chain if you win. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19th Seed The Large Trio Large Body(x3); Wight Knight(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18th Seed Blaze Bandits Fat Bandit(x3); Red Nocturne(x4) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17th Seed False Angels Angel Star(x2); Wyvern(x2); Large Body(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 16th Seed Dark Storm Dark Ball(x?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 15th Seed Air Brigade Wyvern(x1); Air Pirate(x1); Air Soldier(x1); Gargoyle(x1); Search Ghost(x1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 14th Seed Violent Bunch Fat Bandit(x2); Invisible(x1); Wizard (x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 13th Seed Heavy Warriors Fat Bandit(x2); Defender(x1); Large Body(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12th Seed Interceptors Defender(x3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11th Seed Elder Force Invisible(x3); Angel Star(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10th Seed Hades Another hard battle. It is highly recommended that you have the MP Rage and MP Haste abilities here as you will definitely need your MP. Now cast Aero on yourself then attack. Avoid his flames at all cost, it can take off almost half your current HP even with Aero. He's most vulnerable once he reverts to his original color, (purple) so if you're gonna hurt him that's the best time to do so. Also don't hesitate to use any of your special abilities on him, such as Ars Arcanum or Strike Raid. You'll receive the Graviga upgrade along with the Ansem Report 8 once you beat him. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9th Seed Night Rave Shadow(x5); Darkball(x3); Invisible (x1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8th Seed The Requeim Red Nocturne(x2); Blue Rhapsody(x2); Yellow Opera(x2); Wizard(x2); Angel Star(x1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7th Seed Invisible Fear Stealth Sneak(x1); Invisible(x3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6th Seed Mad Mushroom White Mushroom(x3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5th Seed Black Storm Shadow(x?); Darkball(x?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4th Seed Twin Mirage Stealth Sneak(x2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3rd Seed Shadow Troopers Wyvern(x?); Wizard(x?); Defender(x?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd Seed Final Battalion Darkball(x?); Angel Star(x?); Invisible(x?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Seed Rock Titan He's surprisingly easy. Just lock on to either foot and attack. Don't be careless enough to let him step on you though. You should be able to beat him without problems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- You'll receive a prize whenever you beat each tournament using only Sora or with a time limit. Here's the list. "SORA ONLY MODE" "TIME TRIAL MODE" ---------------- ----------------- Phil Cup - Mythril Phil Cup - AP Up Pegasus Cup - Mythril Pegasus Cup - Defense Up Hercules Cup - Orihalcum Hercules Cup - Power Up Hades Cup - Save the Queen Hades Cup - Save the King The first 3 cups all have a time limit of 3 MINUTES in the time trial mode, while Hades Cup has a time limit of 20 MINUTES. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Tip: When fighting Hercules in Time Trial mode, pause your game and choose RESTART. You'll still be fighting Hercules, but this time the timer will be frozen. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- GOLD MATCH: ICE TITAN ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Experience Points: 5000p ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Be sure to have the Guard ability equipped since you'll need it to win this fight. As for your items, Hi-Potions should be fine. Also having the MP Rage and MP Haste abilities are a must. Don't use Aero... this will make his projectiles bigger. Now when the battle begins, proceed to the stadium seats immediately. Doing this will render most of the Titan's attacks harmless. Also if you are low on MP, try taking some damage from him, since this is usually all that's necessary to restore your MP to full. When he starts shooting icicles at you deflect them with your Guard ability. Press [] to activate it. Once his own icicles hit him, he'll be stunned, and cause him to lower his head. This is the best time for you to do all your stuff. Don't hesitate to use any of your special attacks on him too. Once he wakes up, go back up to the stadium seats and start deflecting his icicles again. Keep repeating the process and you'll win in no time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLATINUM MATCH: SEPHIROTH ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Experience Points: 18000p ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- He's no doubt the toughest opponent in the game. Don't bother going into this battle if you're not at least level 58, unless you're EXTREMELY good. For your abilities, be sure to have Second Chance, MP Rage, MP Haste, Strike Raid and Ars Arcanum. As for your items be sure to have some Elixirs with you, just in case his Sin Harvest hits. Also, having the Superglide ability helps a bit. Lastly, make sure you have both Cure and Aero in your magic shortcut menu. This guy is extremely powerful... he is capable of killing you with 2 sword swipes. Now cast Aero on yourself immediately when the battle begins. (Re- cast the magic immediately once it wears off.) He'll mostly just execute normal sword slashes at this time. But he'll teleport and slash you from behind if you manage to land a complete combo on him. So when he disappears, just Dodge Roll to a different spot to avoid being impaled from behind. He'll be moving all over the place all throughout the battle, thus making it really difficult to hit him. So the best way to get close to him is to use Superglide. When you manage to inflict a certain amount of damage on him, he'll start doing more powerful attacks. At this point, he gets a lot more annoying (as if he isn't already) since he'll be doing teleport slashes frequently. So again when he disappears, move to a different spot to avoid damage. But the thing that you should really worry about at this stage is his Sin Harvest. It will reduce your HP to 1 (if you have Second Chance) and your MP to 0. So once you hear him say "Sin Harvest", use Ars Arcanum immediately to make yourself invincible to the attack. You can also try hitting him with your keyblade if you're close enough, to interrupt the move. He'll cast a flame barrier around himself, immediately after you interrupt Sin Harvest. So nail him with Strike Raid when this happens, since Strike Raid goes right through the barrier. Now if it so happened that his nasty Sin Harvest hits you, use an Elixir IMMEDIATELY, since Sephiroth will surely teleport, slash you from behind, and kill you if you didn't. When his HP is down to the yellow bar, he'll start using his meteor attack. Avoid the meteors as much as possible, or just heal when you get hit. When the meteor shower's over, he'll immediately follow it up with ANY move. (IMO the deadliest is Sin Harvest) He always uses the flame barrier when you're near him though, so try to stay close to him as much as you can. And once he uses the barrier, immediately hit him with Strike Raid. Once you defeat Sephiroth, you'll receive a lot of experience points. But other than that, there's nothing else. ============================================================================ VII. ANSEM REPORTS ############################################################################ These are the reports where Ansem recorded his findings about the Heartless. Here are all the locations along with the exact content of each: |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Ansem Report 1 | Beat Jafar (Genie) in Agrabah | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Much of my life has been dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge. That | |knowledge has guarded this world well. Not a soul doubts that I am blessed| |with my people's smiles and respect. But though I am called a sage, there | |are things I do not understand. I believe darkness sleeps in every heart | |no matter how pure. Given the chance, the smallest drop can spread and | |swallow the heart. I witnessed it many times. | | | |Darkness... Darkness of the heart. How is it born? How does it come to | |affect us? As a ruler of this world I must find the answers. I must find | |them before the world is lost to those taken by darkness. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Ansem Report 2 | Receive from Aerith at the Hollow | | | Bastion Library. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |It is my duty to expose what this darkness really is. I shall conduct the | |following experiments: | | | |-Extract the darkness from a person's heart. | |-Cultivate darkness in a pure heart. | |-Both suppress and amplify the darkness within. | | | |The experiments caused the test subject's heart to collapse, including | |those of the most stalwart. How fragile our hearts are! My treatments | |produced no signs of recovery. I confined those who had completely lost | |their hearts beneath the castle. | | | |Sometime later, I went below and was greeted by the strangest sight. | |Creatures that seemed born from darkness... What are they? Are they truly | |sentient beings? Could they be the shadows of those who lost their hearts | |in my experiments? | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Ansem Report 3 | Beat Ursula's 2nd form in Atlantica | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |The shadows that crawl beneath the castle... Are they the people who lost | |their hearts, or incarnations of darkness? Or something entirely beyond | |imagination? | | | |All my knowledge has provided no answer. One thing I'm sure of is that | |they are entirely devoid of emotion. Perhaps further study will unlock the| |mysteries of the heart. | | | |Fortunately, there is no shortage of test samples. They are multiplying | |underground even as I write this report. They still need a name. Those who| |lack hearts... I will call them the Heartless. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Ansem Report 4 | Receive from Aerith at the Hollow | | | Bastion Library. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |The Heartless appear in groups and are multiplying rapidly. I've provided | |them with both living and non-living samples. They've responded only to | |the living. They seem to multiply after absorbing something from the | |living creatures. Their prey vanishes without a trace. | | | |I believe the Heartless are taking hearts. They are born from those who've| |lost their hearts and thrive on hearts seized from others. The hearts | |taken by the Heartless become Heartless themselves. | | | |Though I lack proof, I'm confident in this hypothesis. I must also study | |their behavioral principles. Though they lack emotions, they do seem to | |have some intelligence. How to communicate with them? | | | |It just occurred to me: Could they be the darkness in people's hearts? | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Ansem Report 5 | Beat Maleficent (human) in Hollow | | | Bastion. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |To study Heartless behavior, I picked one out for observation. It wiggled | |its antennae and as if sensing a target, headed deep into the castle. In | |the deepest part of the castle, its antennae began vibrating as if | |searching for something. Suddenly a strange door appeared. I'd never known| |of its existence. | | | |It had a large keyhole, but didn't seem to be locked. So I opened the door| |What I saw on the other side mystified me. What was that powerful mass of | |energy? That night I observed a great meteor shower in the sky. Could it | |be related to the door that I have opened? | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Ansem Report 6 | Receive from Aerith at the Hollow | | | Bastion Library. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |A massive core of energy lay beyond the door sought by the Heartless. It | |may well be the ultimate goal of all Heartless. But what is that energy? I| |have devised a hypothesis, based upon my observations of the Heartless. | | | |The Heartless feed on others' hearts and they yearn for that energy core. | |That thing beyond the door must be a heart too -- the heart of this world.| |There is no proof, but having felt that immense energy I am certain. That | |was the heart of the world. | | | |The heartless are trying to take hearts not only from living creatures, | |but from the world itself. But what do they mean to do with the heart of | |the world? | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Ansem Report 7 | Beat Oogie Boogie in Halloween Town. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |I am now studying materials from the meteors that rained down that fateful| |night. What a find! The material is foreign from our world. It's elastic | |to the touch and when two pieces are combined they bond easily. None of | |the records I've scoured even mention such a substance. | | | |Was it introduced to this world when I opened that door? I wonder how many| |other such material drift through the atmosphere of this tiny world. I | |wish I could soar off and find out! Could there be uncharted worlds up | |there? My curiosity never ceases to grow. | | | |But I should stop speaking of such unrealistic dreams. For now there is no| |way to venture outside this world. My people and I are all but prisoners | |of this tiny place. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Ansem Report 8 | Beat Hades in Hades Cup. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |There is no doubt that the Heartless are deeply connected to people's | |hearts. Further study may unravel both their motivations and the mysteries| |shrouding the heart. | | | |As a start I built a device that artificially creates Heartless. By | |recreating the conditions that spawn the Heartless naturally, I should be | |able to produce them artificially. This device is the culmination of all | |my research thus far. The machine's test run successfully created a | |Heartless. | | | |This may be a step towards creating a heart from nothing. The artificially| |and naturally created Heartless showed nearly identical traits. But the | |two types should remain distinct for the purpose of this experiment. So I | |will mark those that are created artificially. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Ansem Report 9 | Beat Captain Hook in Neverland. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Simply astonishing! Today I had a guest from another world. He is a king | |and, his vessel is built of the material that composed the meteors. He | |called the pieces "gummi blocks". It seems that my opening that door has | |opened a path to interworld travel. | | | |We talked for countless hours but one story in particular caught my | |interest, that of a key called the "keyblade". The keyblade is said to | |hold phenomenal power. | | | |One legend says its wielder saved the world, while another says he wrought| |chaos and ruin upon it. I must know what this keyblade is. A key opens | |doors. It must be connected to the door that I have opened. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Ansem Report 10 | Receive from Aerith at the Hollow | | | Bastion Library. | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |Just as people have hearts, so do worlds. The same can be said of the | |stars in the night sky. And deep within each world lies a door to its | |heart. The Heartless desire those hearts. Born out of the darkness in | |people's hearts, they seek to return to a greater heart. | | | |Yes that's it. The Heartless come from people's hearts as does the | |darkness. Is the core of the world's heart the world of the Heartless? I | |will pursue the answer there and become all-knowing. | | | |My path is set. This significantly increases the chance of getting enemies to drop rare items. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Some notes on the Mushrooms: ---------------------------- I'll tell you where to find, and how to defeat a particular mushroom Heartless. -=-=--=-=-=-=-=- White Mushrooms -=-=--=-=-=-=-=- Where to find: They generally appear in the following places: - Traverse Town (Red Room) - There are about 3 White Mushrooms here. They rarely show up though. - Wonderland (Lotus Forest) - Just go forward from the entrance to see them. But chances are you won't find anything since the rarely show up here. - Deep Jungle (Camp) - They appear in this area more often than Wonderland and Atlantica, but sightings are still quite rare. - Agrabah (Treasure Room) - If you find some, they will most likely be floating White Mushrooms. Sightings are rare. - Atlantica (Sunken Ship) - Go inside the ship and dive to the lower deck. But then they rarely show up here. - Halloween Town (Graveyard) - You should see them near, or on the coffin. But again, sightings are rare. - End of the World - Go back one screen from the Final Rest area. There are a lot of White Mushrooms here. (about 4 or 5) Not to mention the fact that they appear almost all the time. So if you're looking for White Mushrooms, this is the best place to be. How to kill: These mushrooms give you hints on which magic you should cast on them. So be sure to look closely. Here are the hints: Shivering (this means they're cold) - Cast Fire Bends down & begins to fan itself (they find it hot) - Cast Blizzard Light on top of head - Cast Thunder Floats in the air - Cast Gravity Starts spinning around - Cast Aero Stands still doing nothing - Cast Stop Trips then falls (they imply that they're hurt) - Cast Cure When you get it right, they drop various synth items -- sometimes rare ones. -=-=-=-=-=-=- Black Fungus -=-=-=-=-=-=- Where to find: They generally appear in the following places: - Agrabah (Main Street) - Sightings of these mushrooms here are extremely rare. In fact I only saw them once throughout my entire game. - Agrabah (Bazaar) - Sightings of these mushrooms here are pretty rare. - Halloween Town (Moonlight Hill) - If you don't find any, leave the screen and come back until they appear. How to kill: You can kill them instantly by casting Gravity magic. But in order to make them drop Mystery Goos, I recommend that you kill them with physical attacks. Be sure to equip Lucky Strike on all your characters. Here's another useful tip from Leilei on how to make the Black Funguses drop Mystery Goos: Go to the Moonlight Hill in Halloween Town, and the easiest way to make the Black Funguses drop Mystery Goos, is to light the large orange pumpkins around the place, by smashing them. Now pick up the lighted pumpkin and toss it at a mushroom. This will kill them instantly, and it is guaranteed that they will drop Mystery Goos. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Note: Use the target lock to hit the mushroom with the pumpkin. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// -=-=-=-=-=-=-= Rare Truffles -=-=-=-=-=-=-= Where to find: They generally appear in the following places: - Neverland (Ship Deck) - Sightings of these Truffles here are extremely rare. - Monstro (Throat) - Once again, sightings are rare. - End of the World - Go back one screen from the Final Rest area. There are a lot of Rare Truffles here. (about 4 or 5) Not to mention the fact that they appear almost all the time. So if you're looking for Rare Truffles, this is the best place to be. How to deal with them: What you're supposed to do is help them stay in the air by juggling them, and according to Thegoblin187, here's what you should do: "First put Aeroga in your shortcut spell menu, cast it and run into a rare truffle. It will put them in the air, then all that you have to do is stay under them and every time they hit your spell they are popped back in the air. You should put the spell in the quick menu so you can recast it without going through all of your spells." If you juggle them for about 50 times, then you'll have a very good chance of getting a Mystery Goo. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Note: I myself have tried Thegoblin187's tip about the rare truffles, and it works really well. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ############################################################################ vii. Lately, you're all I need You smiled at me and said Don't get me wrong I love you But does that mean I have to meet your father When we are older you'll understand What I meant when I said "No, I don't think life is quite that simple" When you walk away You don't hear me say please Oh baby, don't go Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight It's hard to let it go The daily things that keep us all busy Are confusing me That's when you came to me and said, Wish I could prove I love you But does that mean I have to walk on water When we are older you'll understand It's enough when I say so And maybe some things are that simple Hold me Whatever lies beyond this morning Is a little later on Regardless of warnings the future doesn't scare me at all Nothing's like before ############################################################################ ii. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ############################################################################ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Is there a keyhole in Monstro? A: No. There isn't any keyhole in Monstro, so don't bother looking. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Why is it that whenever I try to go back to Monstro, Goofy says the whale's gone? Where did Monstro go? A: Aboard your Gummi Ship, use the RED portal located southeast of Olympus Coliseum. Once you're in control of your ship, keep flying. (Be sure to go through the portal! Don't skip it!) You'll meet up with Monstro eventually. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I can't proceed to Monstro after I finish Agrabah. Why? A: You can't go to Monstro directly from Traverse Town. Instead, fly to Agrabah, but don't disembark. You can now proceed to Monstro from there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Where's the Magician's Study in Traverse Town? A: It's at the Third District. Use fire magic on the door with a flame marking on it. You'll be given access to the Mystical House. There, just jump on the platforms to reach the Magician's Study. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Where do I get the Yellow Trinity? A: Complete Hercules Cup in Olympus Coliseum. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I just finished the game, so now I want to save the info I currently have. Is that possible? A: No. Once you finish the game and reach the "The End" screen, you can no longer save. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: How do I seal the keyhole at Olympus Coliseum? A: Activate the yellow trinity mark at the Lobby. This will get the large block out of the way, thus revealing the keyhole. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: How do I get back to the gummi ship after completing an area? A: Sheesh... Anyway, find a save point, step on it, and choose save. In the save menu, choose the gummi ship option and.... that's it! Take note that not all save points let you board the gummi ship, so just find one that does. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I missed the red trinity mark at Oogie's Manor, and I already defeated Giant Oogie Boogie! Can I still get that trinity mark? A: Unfortunately, no you can't. You MUST activate it during your first visit or else that mark will be gone for good. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: How do I unlock Hades Cup? A: The tournament will be available after you SEAL THE KEYHOLE in Hollow Bastion. (That will be after your second visit.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I want to fight Phantom. How do I go back to the Clock Tower? A: Go to the Ship Cabin, have Peter Pan in your party, and talk to Tinker Bell. She'll take you to the Clock Tower. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Where is the keyhole in 100 Acre Wood? A: You have to complete all the minigames of all 5 torn pages. Once you finish the mini game in Pooh's Muddy Path, (the last area) you'll see a cut-scene of the book being locked. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: How do I open the treasure chest at the cafe in Traverse Town? A: I already covered this one earlier in the guide. But I'll answer the question again anyway. Put out all the candles with your Blizzard magic. I recommend that you destroy all the chairs first. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I wasn't given the option to synthesize the Ultima Weapon. Why? A: You have to synthesize ALL the stuffs on the list first. Once you've done that, the Ultima Weapon will appear. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################ iii.
