Has anyone here actually beaten Blop's campaign? Towards the end, you find out that Mason's been brainwashed for most of the game. That's why Reznov magically shows up in half the missions even though he died after Vorkuta. Wood's death was probably just an illusion.

Does anyone remember that after Woods "dies" you see him for several seconds, tells you something and then he disappears? It was probably an illusion that Mason saw brought on by his brainwasing

As he fell, he grabbed onto a pole how did he survive being inside the blast radius of 5 nades? errr.... Chuck Noris got between him and the nades! But I mean really, why are people so obsessed with bring back old characters; it hurts the storyline; and when someone tries to write a good story line, they get yelled at by the "fans" for removing their fave characters (I would mention the show I was thinking of, but I am afraid I would be accused of going off-topic)

Is it Boardwalk Empire? OT: The only way this matters to me is that Reznov might be alive in one of the timelines

    He's a robot...that ages over time apparently.

I laughed so hard at the video showing Woods' apparent "death" over and over again. My explanation as to how he survived would be that, in some show of superhuman reflexes during his descent with Kravchenko, he was able to plant both his feet on the man's back and push off just before he asploded, and - ignoring any sort of wimpy kind of physical injuries such as "total body disruption" that could occur to someone in close proximity to an explosion - he, just like in the movies, rode the blast wave that propelled what was left of the suicidal Russian to safety... if you can call being flung by the force created by 5 grenades going off "safe." Yeah, whatever, it's a vidjagaem. I'd say we could just go with Unoriginal's explanation; summed up as thus... "He respawned." Let's go with that one.
  • bigmac515 - May 3, 2012 7:46 p.m.

Easy... Kravchenko didn't have Danger Close on and Woods had equiped his blast shield
  • bigmac515 - May 3, 2012 7:49 p.m.

or what if this is Wood's twin brother... WHO ALSO HAD THE SAME NAME!!!

"We can rebuild him. We have the technology."
  • fattoler - May 8, 2012 1:27 p.m.

    That would explain the Slo-mo...

A bit off topic, but isn't the Hanoi Hilton the hotel at Dead Island.
  • Tokokono - May 4, 2012 11:38 a.m.

Further proof that they're not even trying anymore. They just slap the name "Call of Duty" on a game now and it sells millions.
  • EdDeRs1 - May 4, 2012 3:50 p.m.

seems simple to me, your caracter was halucinateing all throughout the game, so Franks "death" could have been another halucination, he just called him in dead before he went AWOL
  • sjanzen97 - May 5, 2012 3:20 p.m.

pft 5 grenades thats nothing. Sgt Johnson from Halo survived the Pillar of Autumn's fusion engines detonating at almost 100,000,000 degrees

Suspension of Disbelief, Kravchenko fell on the grendaes, absorbing a brunt of the blast. Or when they were falling, Woods pushed off of Kravchenko and landed on the otherside of a bunch of boxes, a stone wall, a rock or something. If I remember correctly, before going up there you can see a ramp to a stone walkway with a lowered drain like section next to it. Woods simply lands on the platform and Kravchenko in the ditch. Or a hallucination. Can't count that one out
  • OohWiiUILookJustLikeBuddyHolly - May 7, 2012 5:50 a.m.

He hid behind a wall for five seconds and regenerated his limbs back, duhh
  • DEsMONd - May 8, 2012 12:27 p.m.

Well there is a logical explanation for it though because if you go back to the 7/7 terrorist attacks on London, there was a woman who was sat directly next to the bomber and even though people around her were killed, she survived relatively unharmed. So there is a chance in real life that he could have survived that relatively unharmed even though it is very slim.
