Borderlands: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx
DLC review: The best addition available and an absolute must-buy for fans
Another fine piece of DLC for the ever-brilliant Borderlands, this one is strictly for the end-game players, raising the level cap to 61 and ramping up the difficulty. It continues the story of the original game, which sees Atlus Corp invading Pandora and, headed up by General Knoxx, gunning for your hide.
On the whole it’s a pretty generous package – adding some brilliant new enemies into the mix alongside 40+ missions and side quests, three new vehicles and, naturally, plenty of new guns to play with. It’s yet another great example of how to do DLC right.
Moxxie and Ned were mixed-in-quality additions – but this adventure really goes the extra mile, adding substantially to the already brilliant Borderlands universe.
