Best Of CheatPlanet October 4th- 8th, Dead Rising 2, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Sweet Sassy Molassy, it’s almost time for the holiday rush! As I’m sure you’re aware the holiday season is fast approaching and as is industry tradition, 80% of the year’s big game releases will all be coming out simultaneously in the same month. Great news for gamers, but let’s be serious, there’s no way you’re gonna be able to tear through that big pile of gaming goodness without a little help. That’s where your BFFL CheatPlanet comes in, we’ll be working overtime to bring you all the walkthroughs, FAQs, guides, and cheats you can handle. We may not have elves to help us, but you’d be amazed how cheap sweatshop child labor is these days! This week's offerings? Dead Rising 2 Zombies and Castlevania Vampires! Tis the season.

Dead Rising 2

Dead Rising 2 Combo Card Weapon Guide

It’s been a long time coming, but Dead Rising 2 is on the shelves and it’s looking good! The game’s new "create a weapon" system has added some creative spark to how you go about wasting the armies of the undead, but if you want all the achievements you’ll need to craft all the available weapons. Our Combo Card guide shows you in detail how to get every Combo Card, where to find the parts you’ll need to make the weapons, and how useful the weapons you can create actually are. Should you tape the lawnmower to the wheelchair or the machetes to the boxing gloves? Check the guide to find out!

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow gem, scroll and upgrade guide

While Castlevania has previously had some rough experiences in the magical world of 3D, Konami has finally hit the nail on the head with Lords of Shadow. Our own Matt Keast liked it so much he gave it a 9. While there’s a huge number of things to collect, Life Gems, Light Gems, Shadow gems, Scrolls, and weapon upgrades, our guide has every single one in an easy to read, level by level format. How handy! The game also includes a list of items you’ve missed, so if you need to go back to a completed level to grab something you’ve missed, our walkthrough makes it even easier. Have fun and best of luck with the 110% Achievement/Trophy!

I don't normally use guides much- but Castlevania: LoS can rock your shit sometimes. And the gems are pretty hard to find/annoying to come back for- so the guide has been a godsend.
