Leave it to Gamesradar to take something completely boring like game cases and turn it into an interesting article. Thanks, Elston!

    great footwork Brett!

I never did like the "Spiderman: The Movie" font used for the PS3 launch titles.

You would use a P.N. 03 box. Too predictable, Mr. Elston.

The new eco friendly boxes really bug me, along with the fact that manuals are almost non-existent. Soon, we won't even have boxes, they'll all be downloads!

Great Article! The only thing missing was the Saboteur from the PS3 collection! JEEZ!

The boxart for the US and UK versions of Sonic 1 and 2 are completely different, the UK version of Sonic 2 only changed the colour of the checkerboard pattern, but Sonic 1 has completely different artwork, and both have the grey graph paper look on the bottom, as shown here-> http://i56.tinypic.com/s1opa9.jpg

you're right, Brett. This kind of esoteric nonsense is what brings us to Radar over and over again. This article could not have been easy, but it's a job well done. You win the internet today.

Do all EA boxes have their logo in side the cases or just the 360!

    Sweet article Brett!

This must have been a lot of hard work! And the ps3 logo annoys me too. EVERYTHING MUST BE PERFECT!

great article!!! I always have been a fan of packaging, box art, and instruction manuals. Would have liked to have seen some Intellivision games though. Those boxes were a mess. Cheap ass cardboard that would tear easily or crush if you put anything on top of them.

Remember when CD's used to come in those long cardboard boxes? wow...

If I try real hard I can almost remember the NES. I always wanted a dreamcast but my 10 year old self could never find one. my

The normal cases for PS2 games in Europe are blue, and Platinum (greatest hits) games come in silver.
  • awinnerisjew - November 18, 2010 2:22 p.m.

Goddamit Brett, you forgot GameGear! Start over!

Nailed in the back of the head by the bat of nostalgia. Great read.
  • aequitas13 - November 18, 2010 1:39 p.m.

Seeing all those boxes brings back some great memories. Oddly enough, despite having played games since the early NES days... it was seeing the N64 Mario box that brought back the most nostalgia.
