Heh, pretty fun article to read. The Door one doesn't necessarily have to be over-sized though, like in Metroidvania games, it could simply be glowing in a color different than other doors XD Also, a bit curious about more examples about the "friendly NPC that starts getting twitchy" and the "quest giver that turns on you" aside from the one that's referenced in the picture for their slides. I mean, yes, those games have that happen, but unlike the other slides, i can't think of more examples for those two as easily.

Assassin's Creed 1, DMC4. This is far more common in adventure/point&click games, but the following sequence is rarely a "boss fight".

Ah, right, I forgot the while thing at the end of Assasin's Creed 1. Then again, I kinda hate the first Assasin's Creed, so that's probably why. And in DMC 4? who did that? the old guy? ._. I admit, my memory is fuzzy on that one as well XD

Maybe he's talking about the corrupted pope for DMC 4? Or maybe the priests right hand man who is also corrupted.

Twilight Princess's 5th "dungeon", its a big friendly yeti and his wifes mansion. Yeta is sick but is innocently trying to remember where the fuck she put the Mirror shard but you end up getting ingredients for Yeto's soup. She finally remembers, to which she personally takes you and then this fucking shit shit happens:

Never played Twilight Princess, so that's on me. That sounds like a spot on example though XD

What's that "source of corruption" screencap from?

Batman: Arkham Asylum. Poison Ivy boss-fight, to be precise.
