The Bad Luck: You could argue that Brundle's transformation is a product of over-reaching ambition, heavy drinking and sexual jealousy, but really, it's just damned bad luck that a fly gets into the telepod with him!
Does It All Come Good In The End? Not so much. Brundle loses his compassion, as well as the plot, when he turns into a hideous hybrid of man and fly.

The Bad Luck: Once you've caught your penis in your zipper in front of your prom date and been carted off to hospital amid a bunch of smirking paramedics, you probably think you've used up your store of bad luck for a lifetime. Not so for Ted, who manages to bring about one embarrassing mishap after another in his pursuit of the titular love interest.

But not really, because the ensuing course of events sees Marsellus run over, beaten black and blue and anally raped by a pair of giggling hillbillies. Not a great afternoon for the big man.
Does It All Come Good In The End? Butch can't bear to leave his old boss to the mercies of Zed, so he helps him regain the upper hand. It's not exactly a happy ending, but Marsellus does get to help himself to a little payback.

Does It All Come Good In The End? The last we see of Josh is his bloodied teeth in a basket, and as for Heather and Mike? The sight of Mike's back in the corner of that creepy cottage would suggest that a similarly grisly fate awaits them both...

Does It All Come Good In The End? Sadly, not. James Carney is actually assassin Mitch Leary, who tracks Pam back to her apartment, before killing both her and her roommate. In fact, the roommate is even unluckier than Pam!

The Bad Luck: Saverin's bad luck is largely engineered by the involvement of Shaun Parker, who turns Zuckerberg against his former buddy and persuades him to cut him out of Facebook. He probably should have double-checked the small-print, but can he really be blamed for trusting his friend?
Does It All Come Good In The End? Saverin received a huge payout and had his name restored to the Facebook masthead, but the pair's friendship remained totally shot. A sad story indeed.
