World Tour Golf first look

When it hits US shores in late August, World Tour Golf will also feature 18 real-world courses, including The Brabazon and Lake Nona, and eight real-life pros, including Thomas Bjorn, Sergio Garcia and Mark O'Meara. You'll also be able to design and share your own courses, and a tournament mode will enable you to challenge your friends. The game will also offer four-player LAN and ad hoc matches, but only for PC and PSP owners.

We're a little skeptical of just how accessible World Tour Golf will be when it hits stores, but the unique design has us intrigued. If nothing else, golf fans looking for something more realistic will want to keep an eye on this one.

After graduating from college in 2000 with a BA in journalism, I worked for five years as a copy editor, page designer and videogame-review columnist at a couple of mid-sized newspapers you've never heard of. My column eventually got me a freelancing gig with GMR magazine, which folded a few months later. I was hired on full-time by GamesRadar in late 2005, and have since been paid actual money to write silly articles about lovable blobs.
