Win! A one-of-a-kind DS skin that YOU designed

NOTE: This competition is now closed. The name of the winner can be found at the bottom of this page.

Feeling artistic? Want to give your beloved DS Lite a one-of-a-kind makeover? Well, it's your lucky day. We've teamed up with Wrapstar to offer one extremely lucky reader the chance to own a custom, one-of-a-kind skin of their own design for their DS Lite, worth £400.

The skins usually retail for £4.99 and are available from most high street retailers including Zavvi, Game, Tesco and W H Smith as well as online retailers such as However, due to the manufacturing cost of making a single skin, the prize we're offering is worth much more.

The skins are made from durable, high quality vinyl and are guaranteed to protect your DS Lite's lovely shiny finish. And what's more, they've got ridged adhesive so you can squeeze out any trapped air when you apply it. And, should you ever want to take the wrap off, you'll find that there's no icky residue left behind. Amazing, huh?

So what do you have to do to win this unique prize? Easy – just impress us with the design you would want to put on your DS Lite. Simply download the template from this link (right click, Save As) and get to work designing your own custom DS Lite skin, using Photoshop. When you're finished, email us by clicking here and send your design as an attachment. Please don't change the subject line or we might not see your entry.

Remember that the image will be trimmed to the red lines so don't put the best bit where the screen's going to be. The design that catches our eye the most will be made into a real skin and sent to the designer. So be creative!

By entering, you are agreeing to our usual competition terms and conditions. We'll publish the winner here after the competition closes, which it will do on December 2, 2008. If you're stuck for ideas, or fancy buying one of the many designs already available, then check out

As you'll see from the site, the fun doesn't stop at DS skins. PSPs, iPods, iPhones and even Wiis can all be customised with a Wrapstar skin. And that, as they say, is a wrap.
